all is, let's just say, interesting in curryland this morning
we had a visitor late last night....mr or ms cute black kitty came onto my patio around 2:30am.....sid was just curious w/the kitty....curry, well, y'all know miss curry and she is certainly lived up to her name.
so i heard a ruckus..... of course miss spice girl, curry, got scared....of course she then turned on poor sid...of course the bean put her back into isolation until the morning....
then this morning, i fed and played with sid first......then brought out curry w/the clicker and treats....she has to touch her nose to the green ball on the end of the clicker to get a treat.....gets her thinking instead of just reacting to when she sees sid.....then i play chase the treat by having her climb up to the short cat tree and then i toss a treat for her to eat....do that until she is tired.....then give her a meal.....then put the puzzle box in front of her to her focus on for short period...btw, she hasn't figured out how to get the treat out yet .....perhaps the bean needs to redo the holes.......by then she is tired and has a belly full of food.....all the while sid is watching from under the table...i throw the treats near sid so both "see" one another but curry is too involved w/the food to react to sid's presence.....
both are relaxed and sleeping now......that was my morning.....the inicident was short-lived but showed me that curry is still be somewhat vulnerable to falling back into that pissy, combative, reactive state that dominated her psyche awhile back....i least i have a good idea on how to deal w/it more effectively this time.
happy day 11 curry. you go girl.....just a little less spicy, k?
heading to petco to get the sticky plastic paper to put on the fence where the visiting kitty has to jump.....will also put out my 2 cans of the motion detection pet deterent this evening just in case the kitty would like to visit again....
