Good Morning, Everyone,

The LagoonMeister is starting out the day in the lagoon, but he's not in tip-top shape. Somehow he seems to have injured one of his rear legs (the left, I think). He is limping this morning. Maybe he landed wrong in a jump, or, maybe he licked near the spot where I put the flea & tick preventative (Frontline Plus) yesterday afternoon. He is always working on his coat. I'm sure that Frontline is some kind of poison, but if he is poisoned I would think that he would be feeling punk all over. He was eager for breakfast and scarfed 'n barfed a little. But then he enjoyed his lung treat, napped in his basket, and wanted to come up on the couch for his schmooze, so he did jump up. He's still there. I brought him the rest of his breakfast and he ate it on the couch.

We cancelled our plans for the day. We were supposed to paddle the Lower Osgood River with our little group, but it is more important to stay here and be with Rusty. If his leg seems worse, we'll call the vet. But I don't want to stress him with a trip to the vet unless it is necessary. We'll see what we do. The carpenter has arrived and hopes to finish this week. He has another guy working with him.

So please send some vines to the Russ Man. I think a day of relaxation will be good for him.

A very nice amps for Rusty. It is good to see the lagoon meister back on duty.

I so hope all is well with his leg. Perhaps he did just pull something when jumping. Elsa has done that before, limps around for a bit, then is all better. I am sorry you had to cancel your paddle for today, but understand why. Rusty and his well being are important. We are sending major feel better vines!

Good luck with the carpenter. I hope all goes well, and that they will be done soon.

Hi Ella. Sorry that Rusty's leg is bothering him. Sending him lots of healing vines. Hope the day of rest does the trick and a trip to the vet isn't necessary. It is a good sign that he was able to jump up on the couch since he used the muscles in his rear leg to do it.

Lots of healing vines coming your way. I hope he just tweaked it jumping or landing and it gets better and better today. Sorry you cancelled your paddle, but I know you wouldn't have fun worried about Rusty the whole time anyway. ((((Ella))))

Sorry to hear about the cancelled paddle, but Rusty comes first! Maybe just morning stiffness, I know I feel that way a lot!

Hi again,
Rusty is on his perch and was on the radiator, so I guess he'll be OK. It's not the leg, it's his left foot that seems to be the problem. He won't let us touch it. Maybe he tore a toenail. I hope he'll let me examine it later. He has good appetite and ate his second sitting of breakfast on the couch and his lunch on his perch. Maybe he just wants to be waited on hand and foot!

Nice +5.5! We are still green and on a great surf. :mrgreen: I hope too that Rusty will let you look at his paw/foot. Mannie did that once: tore his claw. But that was from a chase up a tree. Probably not the case with Rusty. Be well Rusty!

The Russ Man just jumped down from his perch. I hope his foot survived! He is enjoying a +9 snack of FF T&G. This is the best cycle we have had in a long time.

bbl, gotta get some exercise today, so I'll walk downtown.

Morning Ella, just catching up with Rusty happenings. Sending healing vines for his left foot. I hope by now he's let you examine it. Beautiful run in the Green Lagoon. Mags jumped in briefly to say hi and bye to Rusty. :-D

Hi again,
Rusty slept most of the day, except for tests and eating. He is walking on his foot, but I think it bothers him. He stayed off it for hours. At present he is after-dinner napping in his basket (his usual thing to do). Hopefully he will be fine tomorrow. We'll take him to the vet if he's not better in a day or two, or if he seems worse.

The carpenters finished the current stage of their work. Tomorrow they will hang the new front door and on Wednesday will start on re-framing the little greenhouse extension on the garage. They are doing beautiful work.

I spent the afternoon getting caught up on accounts. It took all afternoon ohmygod_smile . I did get in a walk downtown. The paddle was apparently really nice. Oh well, we'll do it the next time around (this is one of the staples of the repertoire).

Sending healing vines for his foot. Neko doesn't let me do much examination of her feet either. She's limped occasionally when she's gotten something (like pitch) stuck on the long fur in between her pads.

Sorry about the paddle, but it was good you were around for that 48 and as you said, there'll always be another day.
 
Thanks for visiting and for the healing vines. Rusty seems much better now (at bedtime). He sat on the couch with us while we watched a movie on TV ("My Favorite Year"--hilarious). He even played a little with his bell balls. Now we'll see if he can climb the stairs. (And we'll see if he bounces or if he stays in these nice numbers.)
