Good Friday Morning, Everyone,

Warm, damp, humid with thunderstorms expected. I'm glad we went paddling yesterday! Rusty is back in normal numbers. After his display of amazing energy yesterday evening at PMPS, he came down to his norms. I have never seen him play with such abandon. It was wonderful to watch. Every toy in the house was given a workout, especially the puzzle box, which we have renamed the "busy box" (I put one of those plastic bell balls inside instead of a treat).
This morning's test, shot, and breakfast (2 sittings; more was requested, but the request denied) have been accomplished. We went outside for a while and saw a mother doe and 3 (!) speckled fauns in the backyard. Now Rusty is chillaxin' on his bench in the mud room. Later we are going to begin to try to deal with some balls of matted fur on his belly. He gets combed and brushed every day, but not there, and these furballs are dense and not possible to comb out, even with the "razor" comb. Yesterday I simply cut one off with scissors. I can't believe how dense it is!! We'll tackle them one at a time so as not to distress the big boy.

All for now. We continue to send healing vines to our kitties and beans in need of them.

Hi guys .. so happy to see that rusty is back down to his normal numbers ... it sounds like he had a riot last night, I love when kitties play hard .. I hope the mats come out easy for you guys .. poor kitties .. have a great day!

I could just picture Rusty playing with all his toys & I laughed!! We are getting the same weather, then H H H

sorry about the humid weather, maybe the rain will cool things down.
Tray gets those matted balls on his belly sometimes and near his tail. He hates when I try to comb them out. I am covered in war wounds! :lol:
Hope you have better luck with Rusty and he's more docile about it.

Nice to see Rusty back to his normal, beautiful numbers. :-D Maybe a dip in the Lagoon later, Rusty?

Ugh! on the weather! Humidity is one thing I don't miss about Minnesota, I even preferred sub zero temps to the summer humidity there.

Oh wow a Doe with 3 fawns that is so special we have a Mother and 2 fawns that are coming to our pond daily to drink now I got some pics the other day that did not turn out too bad its hard to take them without spooking the family away plus the pond sits back from our house as well. Nice amps for Rusty today :mrgreen:

Rusty is going the wrong way!! It's the weather for sure!! Or maybe he went low last night and this is a continuation of a bounce. Or maybe his nadir is changing and getting later. We'll see where he is later. Normally he is not a dropper/bouncer.

The squirrels have been raiding my hummingbird feeders, breaking off the "flower mouthpieces" and sucking out all the sugar water. We don't need diabetic squirrels!! Today I bought one of those cast-iron crooks to hang the feeders on--far away from trees and branches. No squirrels, but so far no hummingbirds, either!

Lisa: one of the fauns is a little bigger than the other two, but all of them still have spots. Perhaps one of the mothers died.

It seems as if this morning's shot was a fur shot. (didn't seem so at the time). Bummer! Just as Rusty was getting back into normal numbers.

Sorry about the fur shot. Rusty will get back on track in no time. How cute with Rusty and all the toys last night.

Hi ella - I am glad to see Rusty is coming down some. Phew!! I had to do a double take when I saw the numbers - sure not Rusty numbers...

Very nice on the fawns this morning. How wonderful it must be to be able to see things like that. well, bummer on the squirrels and your hummingbird feeders. darn squirrels get into everything. I have a storage bin on the deck I used to store seed in and they figured out what was inside... managed to chew through this really think 1/2' wall to get the seed. little buggers!!!
