Good Morning LL!!
(Elsa - lots (!!) please. Ithis bean is so sleepy...), and Happy Monday everyone!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is CHEERY CHERRY MONDAY!! Lola and Bug want to make their cheery cherry pizza pies. I have to admit that they are pretty good! i just wish though that they would keep the cheery cherry whip on the pies, and stop squirting it all over the kitchen. They are all pink now... just like last week, ad the week before   OLLIE? Once again we are going to need your sponges! The sliding will be mega good today! so. well. anyways.
Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a VENTI Quad cherry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cherry whip garnished with candied cherry sprinkles and white chocolate curls. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of cheery cherry and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized cheery cherries and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are along for the ride!
SORRY I Missed everyone yesterday. The hike was an all day thing and then my son and his GF stopped by in the evening. SO.... no condos for me. I missed you guys!
I hope everyone had a great weekend. My hike yesterday was such a good one, one that I know I will go back and do again. Tt was in the North Cascades, specifically the Mt Baker Area, which is just one of the most scenic area in our state. Hiking there is just the best experience, with incredible views. This is what I wrote in my post last night: "Hi everyone! oh boy.... am I ever beat! hike was OUTSTANDING!!! and I so need some really good liquid refreshment. I so love the North Cascades, which is were I went today. it was a new hike, an adventure, which proved to be just that: WHOA, but fun, and what an day.... I did go to the MT Baker area to a hike called Anderson Butte, and The lakes there as well: Anderson and Watson. The Butte was outstanding - you could see all for a 360 panorama. Beautiful is an understatement. I was lucky in that what little clouds there were did not fund the summit of Baker until I went home. I loved this section: an incredible hike, great views of Mt Baker, and Mt Shuskan. I went to Watson Lakes on the way out, didn't do Anderson Lakes, as that would have been another three hours, so took the recommended one. That was really nice too, with lake access, some campgrounds too. So we walked/hiked both lakes before heading on home. Incredibly beautiful there, and I am so glad that I elected to spend the time and hike the lakes too. I will laugh though - some turns on eh main access trail for both hikes aren't marked all that well, so I made two treks off the beaten path before it became obvious I has missed the main trail LOL! That was some rather heavy duty climbing to get out. oh well. all worth the effort. I did about 8.5/9 miles today, climbed 2400 feet on a trail that was rough and root strewn. Sure made it a challenge. Despite that, it was an awesome hike, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. The only drawback on today was the drive home: traffic was horrid, and i took me 3.5 hours to do what should have been a 2 hour drive. FUN! not... " Picassa link to photos and two videos" Anderson Butte, Watson Lake
but.... I was in such trouble when I got home.    Seems I was an hour late, and even though DH made sure they had their dinner on time they still let me now that I did not make the scheduled arrival time. They were prancing and dancing and carrying on. I even got the squinty eye from Lola, My signed blood oath was produced and I had to make amends. SO... they got dinner #2. Bug, Mr Hoover, was elated since he got two dinners. Elsa ate a bite and left, so Mr Hoover cleaned hers up too. Lola on the other hand guarded her bowl, finished it without Bugs help. Silly kitties. ;-) They seem to have been good kitties while I was gone: nothing broken or out of place, no Kleenex shredding, all was in it's place. OR.... DH cleaned up before I got home.  This morning however.... I find dirt scattered around my house plants. Seems that Lola was having fun making dirt pies. That will be on today's cleanup. Elsa is Raddy begging to go outside. Our weather continues to be really nice, and she's asking early of late to head on out. She is very much like Mannie in that regard: loves the outdoors.
Have a great day everyone. I'm not too sure what will be here today. I need to have my brakes looked at though. They are grinding something awful, since I came off the moutnin yesterday. I was on about 25 miles of a one lane gravel and dusty dry dirt rutted Forest Service Road, I suspect I may have picked up a stone in the braking system? Dunno... but I do need to get somebody to check them out. Hopefully I can do that on the morning so I can have the afternoon free. Paws crossed! maybe a short trip to the shore here then. YAY!
KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!!
