Yesterday

Y'all thought I was overreacting to Harvey's numbers yesterday? Don't look now. I'm having kittens!

I have no idea what's causing this, but I don't like it. He's rubbing his eyes again, and wouldn't you know, his ophthalmologist's office is closed this afternoon!

He is also having more trouble on the stairs. I gave him some Bupe earlier, and the next time I saw him come down the stairs, he actually walked rather than hopped, so that's a good sign. Now I'm debating taking him to his vet to see if maybe he does have arthritis and we should be trying Adeqan or something. I knew the other shoe was going to drop. :(

Appy-wise, today was another not so good one. He got his tummy meds and ate a little, but not much. A couple hours after that he decided he was starving to death and I needed to put more food in his bowl RIGHT NOW! I did. It's gone. Gotta go refill it. Talk about a roller coaster!

To all you kitties that have been shark hunting lately (Gussie and Osha, this means YOU), Harvey is on shore patrol, and Bubba is hiding from his sitter, so you need to behave and not put too much stress on the LagoonMeister and Deputy China.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :bighug: Extras of both for @Doodles & Karen :bighug::bighug::bighug: and @tiffmaxee :bighug::bighug::bighug:.

I'm glad the bupe seemed to help Harvey. I hope he continues to eat for you and slides back down to the lagoon. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug:

Oh Tricia. Sorry Harvey is being so...um...well, Harvey. Wonder if the possible arthritis discomfort might be influencing his numbers?

Harvey. Take some stress off the bean. Go for green.

Marilyn and Polly

Thanks for the extra vines and prayers...they worked! I'm glad Harvey's appy picked up and sure hope he doesn't need another med. The lagoon was busy today so think Harvey decided to watch from the shore. He'll be back there later.

Hope the bupe helped enough to jumpstart his appy as well as help with the stairs!!

Starting off at a better place tonight so maybe after he's digested some of that wonderful food, he'll come join China for a late night dip!

Yo Harvey!! Da fish is delishus!! You sure know hows to "man" da fire!! Hopes you make it down for a moonlight swim tonight!!

Getting back to the eye drop conversation.

Looking at the contents, the drops are purely a lubricant, certainly in humans there is no problem using them as frequently as you need to for comfort, and that's the advice I would give to my patients.
Cats can be different with meds though.....
So not sure if that helps you much.

It does. I think I might try three times a day for the weekend, since I won't hear back from the Ophth until Monday at the soonest. He's not rubbing them all the time, but multiple times a day. I'm concerned about ulcers. I went through this with Sasha. Thanks, Gil.

He's headed back up. I'm still thinking we might need more juice, but one more day at this dose first....

Ahh damn! I just opened the windows as it was a little stuffy in here, and the pungent odor of skunk is filling the room.:arghh:

Oh No I hate that skunk smell. We live in the country but haven't had too many around lately. We came home once and one was sitting on our front steps. DH had to climb through a window and unlock the back door so I could get in. LOL So glad Harvey is feeling better and his Appy has returned.
