7/28 Zener PMPS 344;+2 347;+3.5 263;+6 197 shooting early

Way too much excitement around here this morning. I got up a little early and thought I smelled poo but I couldn't find any (after carefully turning on all the lights, their poo is the same color as the carpet!). Then I saw Zener's butt, which had dried diarrhea on it. Poor guy, he didn't like that cleanup. Then I found the poo on an area rug (thankfully) and I could wash it off with the hose. THEN we got that 44! :shock: :shock: I couldn't have been more surprised. So I tested again, and got a 53. I waited about 20 minutes and tested again and got the 47 at +12 and then I fed him. Poor guy, I figured he needed some food in him. So I tested and fed again at +12.5 and then gave him a shot at +13.5. So far, all is staying down and no more diarrhea. He's feeling OK, maybe a little punk. We did give fluids yesterday and he dropped into the 40s, as he has previously after getting fluids. Maybe he doesn't need fluids and he's overhydrated? Maybe 100 ml is too much but 50 ml would be ok? Maybe his beans are crazy cat ladies? :lol: :lol: :lol: I did make it to the farmers market this morning. Yum!

Thinking of ailing kitties and beans, Jamie and Jupiter, Donna's Doogle, Ann's Maggie, Wendy's civie Theo. Kittiy's OTJ trial is going very well! :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

I hate smelling something like poo or pee and not being able to find it. :evil: At least it was on a washable rug. Poor Zener on the bum bath. I hope he feels better soon. Sending healing vines for his digestive system.

Do I get a vote? I vote for crazy cat ladies. :lol: :lol: Takes one to know one. :-D

WOWZERS Zener!!! :shock: :shock: You sure did put on a show this morning. I'm sorry to hear about the runny butt, though. Certainly no fun & especially no funny getting cleaned up. Good job, Liz. Interesting about the fluids...I'll be interested to know what people think...can too much fluids cause diarrhea? And if you guys are crazy cat ladies...then we all are. Ok, I accept that title! :-D Hope things calm down for you all so you can enjoy your Sunday.

Hi Liz, wow, you have been busy. So sorry about the diarrhea, Zener, no fun having that bum cleaned either. Mags has sympathy pains for you. Hope he's okay now, and sending tummy, firm it up poo vines, too. I've never noticed too big a drop after giving fluids. He sure did have some nice greens earlier. Glad you made it to the Farmer's market. :-D Feel better Zener.

Hi Liz....I hope Zener's tummy issues are cleared up by now. Poor guy. Checks said it's no fun getting tushy cleaned up.
Checks had fluids only once. I remember his being perkier next day, but don't remember stools.

Why are we Crazy Cat Ladies? How come there aren't Dopey Dog Guys?

Around here, every guy, has a dog in his pickup truck. :lol:

Wow on all the excitement this morning. I hope Zener's tummy is better now. Poor guy. I hope he keeps surfing safely today.

What a way to wake up! I'm glad the Z-man is feeling better now and that you got out to the farmer's market. The big one around here is right at Tess's shot time and we never get there any more, at least not together.

Not quite the day you had planned. But it looks like the Z Man is feeling a bit better now. Poor guy. And the indignity of having to have his butt cleaned.
I don't know much about fluids, but I would think that it is possible to give too much, especially if there isn't much food on board.
Anyway, it's good that you got to the farmers' market and that Zener is doing better. Sending him some vines.

Liz, I'm impressed that you did the half-Ironman, even if it was 30 years ago. Is that the one they call the Tinman?

Anyone who has the kind of morning you did and then just didn't walk out the door for breakfast and catch a plane to Paris is probably a crazy cat lady. :lol: :lol: :lol: Boy are you two seasoned troopers. The poo on the rug would have probably done me in. Thankfully we have so little carpet here and it's no where near the LBs but sometimes Gus leaves some very undesirable remnants near the LB. Ick. And I hate the bottom washing. Double ick.

NO BOUNCING Z MAN!!!!

Thanks to everyone for all your support today, it was a challenging one. And we are really liking the "fly to Paris" option from Marje! And thanks to Marje for today's lesson on getting back on schedule, it couldn't come at a more opportune moment for Zener and beans.

Today's Lesson - Getting Back on Schedule

We are in the situation of needing to get back on schedule and Zener's +11 was 344. He looks like he is in full bounce mode from the 40s early this morning, so we are going to give option C in Today's Lesson - Getting Back on Schedule a go. We will be here to monitor closely. This lesson couldn't have come at a better time, as we were discussing all the options you describe here and were wondering if we could shoot an hour early under certain circumstances.

If you have a chance, go read and bookmark today's lesson, it's a good one! :thumbup

We are having more thunderstorms tonight, so not sure how much computer time we will have. Paws crossed we get to each of your condos for a visit tonight. Thank you for all your support and laughter today, we needed it. :YMHUG:
