Why is he bouncing now? Maybe not a bounce but really needs more juice? Maybe his last shot wasn't absorbed well? I'm disappointed to say the least. I see all these cats that when they go into green it extends into the next cycle and if they get a reduction it takes time for the depot to drain. Not with Max. He even dropped once under 50 on this dose and I didn't take a reduction because I'm doing 3 times under 50. :?

Vines and prayers to beans and kitties in need. Special ones to Amy and her family that the meeting goes well and the doctor has a good treatment plan for her dad and to Mariko and Lucy. I hope Mariko is not sick and Lucy had a better night. I don't see a post and I am worried about them.

I'm right there with ya, Elise. Eddie had a flat stinky pinky cycle last night, although it looks like he's on the move this morning. Maybe just a delayed bounce from the greens on the PM of the 26th? Hopefully, it's just a short lived glucose spike that clears out right away.

This possibly could be a delayed bounce, or it could be one of those unpleasant fluky unpredictable FD things. Did you happen to retest, just in case you had a wonky strip or something along those lines?

Hopefully this pink is just a little blip on the radar and Max will be back to the blues (and greens!) again soon.

I did retest with my other meter and it was higher but within meter variance. By the way, last night I didn't close one if the strip containers. I didn't use that batch this morning but I wonder if I need to throw them out?

Thanks for stopping by Angela, Amy and Jen. Jen, I wouldn't be quite as concerned in your case as you have taken deductions recently so that might be the adjustment going on there. I hope I'm right on that one!!

It's been 3 hours since the last test and I haven't fed him again and he hasn't come down a lot. I guess he wants to rest his ears.

Poor Max. I promised him that I wouldn't test him again until tonight but I got curious to see if he came down any more. He did a little. Now I really will let him be until pmps.

When I see a cycle like you saw last night, the first thing I'd do is sniff the injection site. With Neko, that would have meant a partial fur shot. Or it could be a delayed bounce. The worst of Neko's bounce is usually the start of the 3rd cycle after the low event. At least he's sliding in the right direction now.

How's your mom doing today?

Hi Elise,
I try to ignore the cause (or "meaning") of cycles like this. It could be owing to anything. Sometimes they just need a "rest day". It's nice to see that gradual slide today.

looks to me like he's coming down from a bounce today. it's straight down all day. thankfully!

here's hoping tonight is better numbers for the little guy.

Thanks for the visits. I don't think it was a fur shot but anything is possible. I think you are right Ella that to try to figure out why is pointless. I just keep hoping I will get a handle on what to expect and when so that I can make a few plans more than an hour before or actually be gone for an entire evening and go to dinner and a movie. Right now I end up turning everyone down or do one or the other and rush back home. I hope it doesn't mean a quick drop tonight followed by another bounce.

This bouncing thing is so crazy. I didn't think he was bouncing. I thought he was just going to need more juice yet again. Just when I think enough time has gone by and he won't bounce, boing!!!

My mom didn't get the new antibiotic until Saturday night. Hopefully it will kick in tomorrow. Thanks for asking, Wendy and for the prayers Marje.
