Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (LOTS Elsa, please - it is HIKE day, fuel needed!), and Happy Sunday to everyone.
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! After nearly missing Willie's OTJ party yesterday, and their need to have pizzas ready, cuz they were lazy kitties and sleeping in, Lola ad Bug are on HI ALERT today, ready to roll, just in case they have another mega order, like an OTJ party. They say no more screw ups or sleeping in! They will be ready, willing and able. PHEW! A relief..... so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. and for my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....... SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, and a chocolate caramel drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are along for the ride.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Caturday yesterday. I really didn't do too much. The mornings was devoted to grocery shopping as the cupboards were bare, laundry and bill paying. I was lucky enough to have that done by noon, so I went out for a walk: my usual hike through the woods here to the shore. The tide was out far enough that I could get some distance in on the shoreline. Sure was nice down there: sunny skies, not one cloud, and a nice and comfortable 70. I didn't take too many photos, as I just went for the chance to be outdoors, and enjoy the time. I did do a few mobile uploads, so here you go: Sunny skies at Meadowdale

Lola seems to have recovered from her butt washing ordeal, and now has clean tushie. ;-) I thought I'd help her look really great and decided to brush her fur. :o    OMG. I will need body armor before I attempt that again. And I thought Mannie was bad! SHESHHHHH! I did manage to brush Bug though. What a GOOD BOY! He loves his brush, and kept rubbing his cheeks on it.  Elsa loved hers too. Well I guess 2 out of 3 ain't too bad. And I am thrilled to report on the rest of their behavior: NORMALCY IN THREE MUSKETEERVILLE! ;-)

Have a great day everyone. I hope to be hiking today, that is the plan. Off to the Mt Baker area I think, maybe see some alpine lakes. I will look at weather etc in a bit make sure it still looks good for today before deciding on a final destination. COOL! Our weather continues to be awesome for the next five days or so: sunny, no rains, no clouds, and with temps in the 70/75 range. wow, what a summer we are having. One has to take advantage, as our summers aren't always this great.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!!

Morning Michelle, sounds like a nice day yesterday with the chores and then a walk at Meadowdale, such a nice place to be outdoors and take in a walk. I always have Mission Bay for a nice walk and it's not too far away. Neat pics!
Oh so glad Lola has recovered. I should let you have a try with Mags. I did manage to stick her legs under some running water, but that's all the further I was allowed.
Elsa, thanks for the 10 Hour Energy coffee and Triple Espressos with beans from Ethiopia. Watch out for those neighbors, more of them every day. Have a great hike, Michelle, and paws crossed for nice weather.

I hope you enjoy your hike today. That sounds like great weather. I don't like really hot weather and 70/75 sounds wonderful.

Too funny on Lola and the brushing. Some of mine will let me brush them and the rest act like Lola.

Lols! You don'ts like brushing???? confused_cat I lubs it so much! I can't gets enough! yesterday the bean petted me w/ her garden gloves on (I was supervising!) Oooooooo, it felt so good! All the loose itchy fur just came flying out! Tell your bean to try that! -- Emma, Little Sort-of-White Cat

Michelle, enjoy you glorious weather and have fun today! Just don't be late for fuds time!

Elsa, thanks for the triple shots! perfect wake up call! Yummmmm, those Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls sound divine. Can you bring a couple on your second round? -- Auntie Annbean

Silly Lola - Brushes are the bestest ever! My bean has this thing called a furminator and she used to go crazy and brush all my furs away, that I had bald spots! Now she learned and will furminate me and then use the regular brush - it feels oh so good and she can reach the itchies that I can't.

Even silly Buster loves brushes and tries to get between my bean and my brushes! I bite her butt when she does that.

Hi everyone! oh boy.... am I ever beat! hike was OUTSTANDING!!! and I so need some really good liquid refreshment. I so love the North Cascades, which is were I went today. it was a new hike, an adventure, which proved to be just that: WHOA, but fun, and what an day.... I did go to the MT Baker area to a hike called Anderson Butte, and The lakes there as well: Anderson and Watson. The Butte was outstanding - you could see all for a 360 panorama. Beautiful is an understatement. I was lucky in that what little clouds there were did not fund the summit of Baker until I went home. I loved this section: an incredible hike, great views of Mt Baker, and Mt Shuskan. I went to Watson Lakes on the way out, didn't do Anderson Lakes, as that would have been another three hours, so took the recommended one. That was really nice too, with lake access, some campgrounds too. So we walked/hiked both lakes before heading on home. Incredibly beautiful there, and I am so glad that I elected to spedn the time and hike the lakes too. I will laugh though - some turns on eh main access trail for both hikes aren't marked all that well, so I made two treks off the beaten path before it became obvious I has missed the main trail LOL! That was some rather heavy duty climbing to get out. oh well. all worth the effort. I did about 8.5/9 miles today, climbed 2400 feet on a trail that was rough and root strewn. Sure made it a challenge. Despite that, it was an awesome hike, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. The only drawback on today was the drive home: traffic was horrid, and i took me 3.5 hours to do what should have been a 2 hour drive. FUN! not...  I will post the Picassa link in tomorrow's Loose Lips.

Maui! I know on Lola... I loves the brushes. She sure does not! heeheehee on that furminator! My bean did the same thing. BALD SPOTS!!! I like the brushes the best. I will have to show Lola how good they really are.... ~~ Elsa, also loves the brushes!

EMMA! - NOPE! No siree! I don't like it one little bit. Neither did Mannie... we is kindred spirits. Elsa likes them garden gloves too - my bean does that with her all the time. I dunno..... maybe it will give that a try.... ~~ Lola

Ann - I had a blast! it was one of the best ones I have done - I so love the NCascades. I was however, an hour late getting home. I had to call from the road to have DH feed them or I may not have made it in the door without being mauled for lateness!!
Auntie Ann - you are so welcomes! you betcha on my second round. I will bring them iced for later today too. They is mega good that way. ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Hi Carla - THX, I did! It was so nice put in the mountains. I had a great time. :-D  I like our warm here. Normal for us is the 65/70/75 range. perfect! I know on the brushing. Mannie hated it too.

Hi Ann - THX on yesterday - I am glad that it is so close, as it does make for a great walk. having the shore near is nice too. Oh yes, me too on Lola    THX on today - hike and weather were great!
Auntie Ann - I knows!!! You got so many neighbors! but they is ega ncie adn give me kitty treat. LOVES that! Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista
