Good Morning World! Welcome to our home! Last condo with 'Puppy' pics........KT's Levemir Discussion Condo

Doesn't look like no insulin for KT is the way to go yet. He's still climbing altho' we did see a bit of downward movement yesterday but insulin was likely still finishing it's last 'squish' dose. I shot just a 'squish' this morning - a drop WAS in there. It would be nice if a squish every 24 hours would work! He's feeling well altho' had an upset tummy this morning because he was hungry. His fur is soft, his eyes are as clear as his lenticular sclerosis will allow them to be. He's doing pudding poo but we'll cut that today with propectalin. It does have a bit of sugar in it but doesn't spike him high.

Still working on trying to get rid of his 'extra sweet'. He's got 5 more days of ab's. He's sort of owly, jumped on Leo a couple of times last night for seemingly no reason. I'm thinking we'll be seeing the new vet soon....

It's COOL here! Well, cool for almost August in Oklahoma - 80 degrees at 10am! NICE! It's been between 90 and 95 at this time for weeks!

We want to send a HUGE THANK YOU to Liz/Anne/Zener/Tillie!!! They just seem to know when we're struggling a bit! We now have a decent supply of test strips!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN!!!!

Extra thoughts and prayers for those needing them today.

BIG HUGS and YARD DANCES!!!

Hi Lyresa:

I'm new to the term "squish". Is that more or less than a "squirt"? It's so hard when they need just a little insulin to figure out how much and to keep it consistent. I wish you much luck finding the right dose for KT. Sending good poo vines for him.

Dakota, you don't need to keep KT company up there. The two of you should just mosey on down to the yellow floor together. Much more fun there.

Just caught up on your condo from yesterday. Those are some adorable puppies, and you are an angel to take such good care of all of them! I love your condos. :-D

Have a wonderful day!

withhold insulin immediately... regardless of the numbers you're seeing. it's possible KT is telling you he's done with insulin and is simply stuck in a vicious circle of dropping and bouncing. trust me, it happens. when withholding insulin you'll want to withhold for a minimum of 3 days (6 cycles) to allow the bounce to clear and the insulin depot to deplete. fyi: not too long ago we saw a cat take around 5 days to clear a bounce before going otj. trust your gut and use what you know about KT to help in making decisions.

Yep, Marje - you're right, I jumped too quick. ohmygod_smile When I saw them just keep going up and up and even up this morning after I knew he didn't eat, I squished him. Now I'll start over counting...

Tricia, all I feel is a squish of the plunger, it doesn't even move...I tried measuring it and gave up....

The Borg Queen has spoken!  Paws crossed and double-crossed for Mr. P to take over completely. And you are so welcome, Lyresa. :-D
