Well, numbers in this household have really sucked. I even increased and not much change.
HOWEVER I made a discovery last night... I try and look at the cats ears once a week or so to make nothing amiss is happening. Gordy's ears last night were the most filthy I have EVER seen in one of my cats. Took 10 qtips just to clean the outer ear (don't worry, I wasn't going anywhere near the "inside" of the ear). So gross. And it seemed to make him itch as I was going it. All signs lead to ear mites. Here's the kicker.... Rex and Raptor's ears perfect; pristine! So I am having a hard time wrapping my head around it...
Now I realize how must he has been shaking his head and scratching his ears. Its either mites or an infection. The ears are really pink inside and last night were pretty hot to touch. They are the regular warm today, but still pink.
I'll be bringing the qtips to the vet in the AM to plead them to just test those and not force me to bring Gordy in.... no one wants me to truly do that LOL. Worst come to worst though, I am off Tuesday and hopefully they can squeeze us in.
Raptor has won the litter battle.... all boxes are back to clay. My house smells again (*sigh*). And she poops in the box.
Rex is just being her cute self and I love her greatly.
