Still cant get those numbers to come down. Two more cycles and we are at 6. May have to go up to 3u (which is what the vet wanted us to start on in July...lol). Lets all think yellow and green!

+7.5 251....that number is probably food influenced because they all ate around 3:30.

Hey Donna

I'd try to not feed him as or after nadir and see if that will help him utilize the insulin longer.

I agree..two more cycles at this dose and if he doesn't get with it....increase threat on the table!

Ok Marjorie, I will do that tonight. I was feeding him 2 teaspoonfuls of food around +9 to see if that helps with him getting sick around PMPS (it doent happen during the day for some reason). Will real cooked chicken effect his BG to bad? I cooked up some (froze some of it for later) and I could just give him a few treats if it wouldnt effect it to bad so he gets at least a little treat for all the poking he gets.

PMPS 398.....Fed him his favorite, FF Turkey and Giblets. I will give him a couple of teaspoons of food at +2 but will just give him boiled chicken after that until after nadir. Lets see how that works on his insulin.

Ok decided to just give him some chicken.....want to see what that does to his numbers. I will check him again at +4 to just see. No food anywhere for him to eat (my herd ate all of theirs). So unless he has a kitty stash somewhere, he shouldnt have anything to get into.
 
+6 351..........So no food for 6 hours (except for a small bit of boiled chicken) and his numbers didnt go down much. So yeah I guess we have to go up another .25u. I guess food isnt affecting it as much as I thought it was.
