Good Morning LL,
My alarm did not wake me last night at +6 so I don't know if Blackie was blue or green. :sad: On the good side though, I got some really good sleep last night for once. I'm hoping we'll see good numbers from Blackie today.

WCR: Blackie is feeling good today. He went for a walk this morning before breffis, ate really well and was very affectionate. He didn't eat most of his food in the automat last night.

I saw the bear again this morning as I was getting some food ready for Blackie. He/she looks like a teenage bear. The bear must be hanging out fairly close by for us to see him 2 different times.

Good morning all! Nice amps for Blackie - hope he can bring on the blues today.

Bear? WOW - kind of exciting in a way to think that they come that close... hmmm, then again maybe not. I had one encounter with a bear once while hiking: a mom and her two cubs. She really had no interest in us - phew! we on the other hand couldn't take enough photos. silly us. too funny on the teenage bear questions - i vote for the attitude and piercings... :lol:

Well if that bear was a Cali Bear I'd say you could tell by his "pants on the ground, looking like a fool with the pants on the ground" :lol: :lol:
This is so kewl...I get pretty excited when I see hawks...wild life is so awesome!
OMG how bout the poor woman who got trampled by the Buffalo nailbite_smile too bad they couldn't find the idiot that threw the paper at it and scared it :evil:

Nice amps for Blackie too this morning, and glad you got to sleep in. I slept through mine the other day ohmygod_smile we must have needed it!

Nice amps! It looks like he cleared that bounce out nicely.

I got a chuckle out of the teenage bear mental image too! I was picturing him with a cell phone attached to his paw, texting away! :lol:

Blue!!

Okay you guys, a teenage bear is bigger than a cub, but not as big as an adult. :lol: When I first saw him, my thought was "Look at that big black dog!" and then it was "Holy S**t! Look at the bear!" And then to top it all, yesterday someone sighted a 5 ft alligator in the Colorado River just down river from our house. Yes, we have wildlife. :mrgreen:

I guess you have wildlife. That's a lot to watch out for when venturing outside. Hopefully everyone gets along fairly well. I hope Blackie is careful outside.

Oh yeah, how could I forget the iPod? and the laptop, chatting on FB...and the TV on as well....multi-tasking! LOL

I actually see a fair amount of wildlife near my house too...but no bears! Deer, fox, hawks and various other birds...I did see a bobcat once, that was pretty cool.

Nice blue numbers, Blackie! Love those blues!

Seeing a bear would be exciting, altho I'd stay in the house for the rest of the season. Biggest I get is deer....they love my flowers. Grrrr!
One time I was walking my little dog out to the edge of my property, and encountered a buck. It was Oct, rutting season, and he was not happy to see me. I was even less happy to see him. That silly 10# dog, was all set to chase him off. :lol: Picked her up and headed back to house.. didn't know I could walk that fast. :lol:

Very nice blue today Blackie--We have Ospreys here, Hawks, and lots of wildlife on L.I.--Foxes, wild turkeys, BUT NO BEARS...
I just saw a tv thingy about a man who has studied Bears..and loves them..
Hope Bear stays away from you guys but close enough to watch! Nice surf Blackie! :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Roni- Was it about Lynn Rogers? He is amazing. I watched the Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom special on him, in addition to learning about him when I would go canoeing in BWCA (his stomping grounds).

Great blue surf for Blackie this afternoon; let's hope he keeps it up tonight! :-D Ele, I can't believe you have bears AND an alligator!! It's like a circus over there. It sounds like a diabetic cat might be the least of your worries. :shock:

What a great blue day, Blackie! And a teenage bear, too! Our friends who live near our camp used to feed deer (no longer, since it isn't good to do that), and they had a young bear come to the feeder every day. He couldn't reach the ledge where the food was without climbing up on the feeder, straddling it, and sitting on it with his back legs hanging down. We called him "Blackie" and he returned for quite a few years as an adult (not daily, but frequently).
Keep on surfin' Blackie. You're lookin' great!
