Thanks for the birthday and anniversary wishes yesterday! Such cute greetings. We made it out to shop sandals while someone sat home with our sleeping girls. Both DH and I had our sandals die a couple of months ago, but have been putting off replacing them. In part, because we had other expenses (ahem, no surprise, right?) and perfectly good shoes and could just suffer having to wear socks and everything, and in part because my mom taught me that, if you can, it's better to shop seasonal things like sandals when the season is past the halfway point because you're more likely to hit a sale. Oh, and the third part being that shopping with a preschooler and toddler tagging along is really, incredibly, hard. And so we went sandal shopping for our anniversary. Mostly we just enjoyed having conversation with each other and remembering good memories together. The sandals were just a place to talk. As a bonus, we actually did both score some sandals for 60% off.
And Star had a green PMPS to celebrate her birthday. Also, a game of baseball and extra treats. No, we haven't gotten the video camera out yet.
