i'm taking off again today for Sock Summit (dun dun dun) in Portland - an international gathering of knitters. i don't knit, but 4 of the people in my quilting group are into knitting and they're taking classes. me and one other person are going along to quilt or hang out in the apartment. or shop, if the worst comes! the place we're staying is downtown and walking distance to everything.

so the DH is back in charge and i'll be intermittent til friday night.

punkin's doing fine. furry, purry, CPC status maintained for both him and anya. i'm leaving the kitters with a clean box! we were just talking about whether or not he needs to come home at lunch and check punkin - right now punkin doesn't move more than 70 points in a day. mr. flat cat. hopefully he won't throw us any curve balls in the next 3 days.

hope you all have a great week! julie

Ohhhh sock summit sounds sassy! I have been teaching myself how to knit, badly I might add. My poor DH and DS have some pretty eclectic hats and mittens, but they are good sports about it and humor me. Sounds like a blast! Have a great time.

Flat is good, especially if you're going to be away. Again. Poor Punkin. Maybe you should learn to knit a sock. You could then stuff it with catnip and tie it shut for a terrific toy. It wouldn't even have to be a great sock, then, a beginner's sock would do just fine. And you wouldn't need to make a pair, either, just one. Oh - no, two - one for each kitty.

hahaha, well i'm sure by now the litter box is no longer clean - perhaps i can persuade my son to scoop it tomorrow for the kitters.

i've had a busy time - read a catalog of classes for the quilting convention that's here in september, hand stitched for maybe 1/2 hour on a quilt, wandered through Pottery Barn and Williams and Sonoma, and ate dinner. oh, and brought dessert home for later. :-D chocolate, of course.

went online to check punkin's ss and the DH hasn't updated. of course i want to know and sent him an email asking him to post them. but i suspect punkin's ok or i'd have gotten a phone call.

Hi guys! Enjoy your time away. I still think it is great that you have someone at home that can care for punkin so you can go and do fun things like this. Awesome!

Kinda nice when they re flat, isn't it... so predictable then and you know when you can be gone for a bit.

have fun!
