Shot 30 mins late today because I woke up late. Ming is doing well :)

Tomorrow, at 11 AM the Libre sensor will end. One of our client's libre sensor ended a few days before it was supposed to so I'm happy Ming was able to keep it on up until now. I don't know if I should to put another. It's nice to see the trends and saves me from having to use tests unnecessarily. I only use my test strips when I see he's diving. It also helps me catch his dives.

I'll see how I feel the next few days without it. I can also pick up Ming and cuddle him without fearing his Libre is going to fall off!

Sorry to jump onto your thread, I’ll post this evening for my foster kitty but I saw you were using the Freestyle Libre and had done some meter comparison. Based on your experience are the readings roughly compatible to a normal human meter? I have an intestable kitty and the libre is finally giving me something to sink my teeth in. Thanks! (Signature is still my old Quintus, doing good in remission. Will update.)
I think it's definitely worth it using the Libre. It's not too far off from my own meter. But if kitty is diving fast and going into low numbers, I still feel better using my blood glucometer. I guess, I would be more conservative with dosing if using the libre since it does lag behind blood readings.

Some humans have said the libre gets more accurate as the days go on. Take a look at my SS. The numbers in parentheses are from my blood glucometer. The most valuable thing for me is seeing the trends, especially if I'm away or asleep. I can look back and see that Ming went down to 52 during the PM cycle of 7/22. I was asleep and wouldn't have known.

I am curious to see if you continue with the Libre. We have one other person using it here now. But that is with Lantus, not Lev.

I’ll probably go to Wal-Mart tomorrow and see how much the Libre is and decide. There’s also an extra sensor at work and everyone seems to think it’s mine but I’m also not sure if it is lol. The main vet is back and they’ll clear it up.

Glad to hear the Libre is working pretty well. I can see a lot of advantages to using it, especially for those of us who have to leave our kitties for long periods to go to work.

Nice green today Ming! :D

Also helps when I’m really tired and groggy at night. Its quick and painless! Ming doesn’t fight when it’s time for pokes so I imagine for harder kitties to test that this would make a world’s difference.

Scooter is very easy to test too. I hadn’t thought about the hard to test kitties. It would be great for them! I’ll be interested to see what price you find at Walmart.
