Hi. He's at 150 at 11:45 which is +2. Pretty safe number. When should I test again?

Would it help to give him two hours, go to sleep and then test at +4, and if he's up, go to bed for the night. If he's down, feed him a good amount of HC and go to bed.

I think he's probably going to go up.

A second dip often occurs with lantus. You will see a nadir and then numbers rise, and then drop again close to the next PS but not as low as the nadir.

Marje, I did not know that either of the above were normal! Thank you for sharing this. It describes what Pumbaa has been doing to a "T" and it was confusing me!

Max has had absolutely beautiful numbers for over the last 24 hours. Exhausting numbers for you, but beautiful, considering where he was even a month ago! I am praying with all of my might that he doesn't bounce, or doesn't bounce too high, and continues with the earned reductions from now on! Whoohooo Max! Way to go! And (((applause))) to everyone who has been helping you get through this.

Thank you Suze. He did bounce. He was at 284 at +4, but that's okay. I slept pretty well. I haven't checked him yet this morning. His poor little ears don't look so good. :cry:

Yes, it's been very helpful to have so many experts involved. Thank goodness for this board!
