Morning all,will check Lucky see if he is coming up so he can get his Am shot.So Up Lucky Up.
We keep getting hairballs need something to give to him,Ideals anyone?
Lucky got some food before waiting for his number to raise I had it on counter was only about tablespoon for a treat after shot but saw he was low.Have to keep watch.

Hi Linda, hoping Lucky surfs like a good kitty! Sorry to hear about the hairballs. I think it was Marje that suggested to us a while ago to try vaseline. I put a small glob on my finger and she licks it off. I don't remember to do it often, but <anti-jinx> she VERY RARELY has a hairball. Hope you can get the hairballs to stop. Happy Caturday!

I hope i only got 1 drop in lucky boy wish i had some more of the same syringes just worries me. Hated that i ran out of others when we were this close

Correction to my previous post: At one time, Marje had suggested a tsp of butter every day until it clears up. In a different condo, she suggested extra virgin organic coconut oil, as do other members. Several other members have suggested vaseline. I think the idea is to <pardon the saying> grease 'em up (on the inside) to get things moving in one direction! Like I said, I'm not consistent on the vaseline, but when I do present it to her, she willingly licks it off my finger. She does the same when I present her with the coconut oil. Speaking of which, I need to give her some coconut oil now. :-D Hope you can find something to help Lucky. Pukus is no fun. :sad:

here is a copied "conversation" that Marje sent to Dara and Bob regarding hair-balls:

Hi Dara

I use Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil. Yes..it is expensive but I get the two for one and I use it for us, too. I put it on toast, cook with it as it maintains its healthy properties even when heated...unlike olive oil. If you prefer to look for a different, less expensive one, just be sure it is virgin and unrefined. You might at least want to read the info on coconut oil on the TT website so you know exactly what to look for.

I started Gracie and and Tobey on .25 ml twice a day (bid). I did that for three days, then increased to .5mls bid for three days, then .75 mls bid for three days, and then to the maintenance dose of 1ml bid. If at any time, Bob has any diarrhea or other GI issues, stop. I have a ton of non-needle 3 ml syringes that I got from the compounding pharmacy. I just drae up 1 ml in the syringr and put it on their plates and they go after it like crazy. If you don't have any syringes, 1ml= 1/5 tsp.

See how it works for him....Gracie and Tobey are not large cats so if Bob is, he might do ok with more. We give our 17 year old Gus kitty 2.5 mls bid for weight control. Just go slow..

i was just looking at lucky's SS....wow...i like to just scroll down and look at how those colors just slowly change...and then BOOM.....it happens. green all the way baby. i love to see that. keep up the good work...i will be looking for your OTJ trial DAY 14!

I use organic coconut oil for me so I will try on these guys, thank you :smile:
