How much does he weigh? And is he at a good weight or does he need to gain or lose? Most of mine maintain a healthy weight on one 5.5 oz can of Friskies per day.

Wow..Boo weighs about 12 pounds. He lost down to 9 when diagnosed from a high of 20 pounds.
He is maintaining about 12 pounds since early May. He gained 3 pounds from February to May while he was on 2 units of insulin and eating 2 to 2/12 cans a day along with some diabetic dry food at night. In May I took him off the dry, and he has been on wet only. I was having him eat a can in the AM and a can in the pm. Now I have him still on 2 cans a day, but only 1/2 can every 6 hours.
Doing the every six hours, I have seen his blood sugars finally go down.
