Another day full of blue skies for Cobb.

We're still dealing with Matty's illness...illnesses. Sigh. He developed a rash to the antibiotic yesterday. They changed his antibiotic and we started it this morning. We also took him in so the doctor could see it. Turns out he is allergic to penicillin. :roll: So no more of that. They also took a swab from his nose to see if they can figure out what virus he has, especially since he should be feeling much better by now. Now we gotta figure out how to get him to eat...

if he has a virus, you might just want to wait it out. antibiotics won't help it anyway. poor little guy.

but Cobb looks like he's having a perfect day! go little buddy! cat_pet_icon

Yeah. The antibiotics are for the strep. He tested positive for that on Tuesday.

He has a little gasp at the end of when he coughs. The dr wants to rule out whooping cough, even though he's vaccinated. And it isn't constant. I think she's just concerned because he's not feeling better yet so she's trying to rule as much out as possible. She says he probably has a virus and strep concurrently, but his throat looks better.

It's good to hear that Matty's throat is healing. Poor little guy. He must be feeling horrible. I am also allergic to Penicillin. My tongue got very huge and swollen, and I had a headache within about 20 minutes. Being allergic to medicines really sucks, and can make you feel even more crappy.

Cobb is looking beautiful in blue today, and without the (R) too. That's nice. :-D

Thanks Tina! I definitely think he's feeling better tonight. He's playing and smiling a bit more. The only thing he will eat is ice cream :roll:, which he never has, but we figured we needed to get some kind of calories and liquid into him somehow. The cold probably feels good on his throat, so...what's the harm? Plus my mom suggested it...I can blame her if it backfires. :lol: Hopefully we are on the road to recovery over here! At least Cobb feels it's safe enough to check out the lagoon.

I am behind on my condo reading. I didn't realize that Matty was still not feeling well. Sending prayers for Matty and for your family. I am glad that his throat is looking better.

Some of my family members are allergic to medicine. Some antibiotics don't seem to agree or work for everyone also.

Wonderful! I for one can testify to the remarkable soothing effects of ice cream, for both body and soul :razz: :cool:

And Cobb - Such a good kitty-boy, giving a perfect counterbalance to the events of the day & putting a smile on your face .

Cobb sure is looking great lately!

Sorry to hear little Matty isn't feeling well...nothing's worse than a cranky baby...and of course Ice cream will help! Ice cream makes everything better! :lol:

Glad to hear he's acting like he feels a little better tonight..hopefully he's on the mend and will shake that virus quickly! The other nice thing about babies...they bounce back quickly!
