!!The best nugget of info yet!! It's easy to blame end of cycle + meals at those times = high numbers and wonder what the heck?! WOW! As soon as I read your post I mentally reviewed his most recent hypo numbers... which didn't go sky high after ingesting a WHOLE CAN of HC FF Gravy. And on 7/25 I fed him @ PMPS+4 to tap the brakes a bit and he didn't immediately do a moon launch either... until +11...which is from spending much of the day in blue?

So food has a more stabilizing effect.. within reason, I suppose.

So helpful because I am reading the Lo Carb vs No carb thread and wanting to feed canned food as I used to as back up to raw. A few months ago I couldn't figure out why all of a sudden he couldn't eat canned when it's very likely he was bouncing like a red rubber ball from insulin dose issues. :banghead: I want him to have some variety in his diet plus whatever level of carbs he can handle, and whether they can positively change pre-shot numbers, as stated in the article, and will use his chart to determine what's best for him. Zero, 3%, 7%.

You've helped clarify my thinking and strategizing. Many thanks! :bighug:

If after the appropriate number of cycles and numbers are not going where they should be, can the dose be changed increased PMPS? I know that might mean more tests or staying up. Just wondered.

I think I'm seeing the answer to my question in other SS's. These people are more experienced and have full charts though. Recommended for Butternut?

I was a good day today even thought Butternut picked lemons for most of it. I tried a bit of FF classic pate on him at noon and that might have stalled him in the trees. Even so, he had much more strength in his legs and walked more around the house. He was alert and interacting more than usual... less sleepiness. Not sure if it was the little carb hit (+new insulin) but if so then he'll be getting more LC FF. I mixed some into his raw meal tonight - hoping for a smooth ride on doscrease.

His vet said he has stud tail and to clean it. Not sure what it takes to remove that sticky chapstick goo -- kerosene? geez. I trimmed off the hair and cleaned the area -- he seems much more comfortable. Will attend to it as he allows.

I got Nut some okocat litter after reading about it on this website. He loves it!:cat::woot:

PMPS +3<PMPS. Watching.

He's walking and climbing on things tonight. I don't recognize my cat! ;) What a change.
