Evening LL!

This morning's # was just fine at 111 (90 OT), but this evening was horrible. Deep breaths. Not going to panic! The 130 is the max on an alpha trak to be considered "normal range."

Six spent the afternoon out. The heat finally broke last night and he really enjoyed being out...and that could have meant discovering some bread our neighbors threw in their yard or some other "illegal" substance.

I fed as usual and will test in about 2 hours to make sure he has dropped.

Tizon did something like that during his trial too... it's a cat trick to keep you on your toes!
Congrats on day 10!! :-D

Hey Six, Time to toe the line, buddy. No contraband food! OK? Come to the Full Thunder Moon party and eat some bison canonballs (no carbs). They'll fix you up real good.

Your pal,
Stu

I tested two hours later...he was at 101 on the Alpha and 69 on the OT. Whew.

My vet called tonight...she has a new client whose cat has diabetes and asked if I would help out. The family lives 5 minutes from me. I just spent two hours giving her everything I had printed from the board the first few weeks, talking about Lantus (she's switching from prozinc and a vet who doesn't believe in home testing), showing her how to test her cat, use the lancet, talking food...well, you name it, I just kept going and going. :o I hope I didn't scare her from the board by being over zealous!.

I know I need to calm down...I remember how overwhelming everything was at first. Her cat is so handsome (all of her cats were friendly) and allowed me to test him without a problem. Such a good boy.

Gotta check in with the full moon party...must be winding down by now.

Hi Amy. Congrats on Six Day Ten. Hey, 130 is okay on the Alpha Trak. Take a look at my SS. Maggie got off track and jumped to 170 when my petsitter came the first day. She was waiting by the door for me, and when she saw it was the petsitter, she ran under the bed and thus the bg of 170 when the ps finally was able to take her bg. It will be okay! Maggie had eaten some food my neighbor gave her and probably not lc.

I think that is great your Vet called you to help a new Owner. It won't be long now until Six joins Maggie at the falls. Maggie sends hugs. She's on her way to Shadow and Raja's party, too. Take care.
