Hi Everyone,

We are beached today: violent weather. So we went to breakfast and then came home for a few hours to be with Rusty. He was surprised and happy to see us. As we left this morning he reached out his paw and held my arm so that we wouldn't go. It was so touching.
Rusty has been having good cycles despite being alone so much of the time. His appetite is pretty good (he tends to save his food so that he'll have enough in "emergencies") and I've been giving him some FF T&G at every meal.

The first thing I did when we got home this morning was go to sleep and slept for almost 2 hours with Rusty snuggled next to me on the couch.

Tomorrow, the last day of the first session of Canoe Outing, we will lead the paddle we had planned to lead today. The weather promises to be a little better (maybe some sunshine by the afternoon). We can always hope!

Thanks for visiting Rusty. He and we appreciate it. He's doing fine.

Back later for a +9 or thereabouts, and then later this evening.

Sorry about the weather, but it sounds you needed that nap w/ Rusty. I bet he did too! cat_pet_icon keep surfing, Rusty and keep the Lagoon in order! You've had lots of company lately, unfortunately not Tess, but soon hopefully.

That is too bad about the weather but Rusty is glad. :-D Nice nap. Hope tomorrow is better.

Hi Ella, I saw your weather today on the Weather Channel. yikes! I would say good time to snuggle with Rusty and catch up on zzzz.
Kitties have been keeping Rusty company on his porch.

Hi again,

Some hardy souls did some short paddles in the rain today, but most of the people went to do other things (shopping, library, museums, etc.). We are still having heavy downpours, but no thunderstorms this afternoon and early evening. I hope this weather will clear out, but it is taking its time.

Rusty has enjoyed having his beans for a lot of the day. We went back to the college for happy hour and dinner and then came home again, since there was no meeting (with trip reports) tonight.

I'm about to collapse for the evening and veg out watching a ballgame.

Yes Rusty has been doing well even in your absence..Moonie gives me those Dont Leave Me eyes, whenever I am leaving, and it does make me feel bad...But when we come home, she acts like Ho Hum you again!!

Bummer on the weather - so sorry! I hope it will be better tomorrow.

How touching when Rusty reached out to keep you there. I love the nap time today - very cool too. Awfully nice numbers for Rusty today too. YAY!

Bet Rusty loves the heavy rain! It kept his beans home cuddling him! :lol: :lol:
We're having rain & thunder over here too. The humidity is driving me crazy! Hope the weather clears out for the weekend!
 
What great numbers again today for Rusty and how great that you had a rain day and you could snuggle!

Hope tomorrow is better and you get to canoe!
