Good morning, Suzanne! Just did +2. I have a feeling he would have dropped more, but the neighbor cat was taunting him over the fence again. He was very puffy.

He is making downward progress. It’s okay.

If it was nighttime, I think I would give up and go to bed now. But since its day, I feel like I still need to stick around and keep testing. He hasn’t eaten enough calories yet, so I could feed him very lc now and go out to the store in search of more cat food. Sometimes I wish we still had the Libre so that we could see where he got to after we stopped checking. But that thing was so inaccurate and scary in the low numbers, and Merlin felt silly with a tight’s leg t-shirt on. I feel like my whole life is centered around this FD, and I cant have any other thoughts or activities. I cant escape it, not even at night when I am dreaming. Will this kitty ever be on an even keel, with or without insulin?

Merlin is making real progress on a very small amount of insulin. Just look at this last fortnight and then look at the fortnight before to see the progress.
You don’t need to test every hour at this point. If you want to see how he is going a bit later on, take a break now and come back later in the cycle.
Take breaks when you can.
