Hooray for a low mid level blue cycle after that "perfect storm" of 7/24... Nice recovery Mannie! The morning started out in the pinks, ended up mid blue after nadir in the AM cycle. Mannie surfed the rest of the morning, and the PM cycle on his blue board. :cool: :-D :-D I was glad to see it - time for him to recover, slowly, from the debacle of the day before. Well done big guy - now let's see if we can find some greens today. Lubs ya big guy! cat_pet_icon

:shock: :shock: The bean overslept this morning @-) ... the horrors!!, and it seems to be happening alot lately... shessshhhhh! :roll: Hooray for the kitty choir, well the head singer BJ, who managed to awaken the bean. She was literally camped out within inches of my ear: bellowing loudly, and pawing clawing feverishly at my cheek. :o amazing though - no scratches! :cool: The back-up singers were, however, strangely absent... I found them sleeping upstairs, Mannie on the nanners. What is up with that? Eventually I got a "huh??? it's morning?? oh!! Breffis!!" look, followed by a mad dash to the kitchen. :lol: :lol: :lol: Some back-up alarm system they are... so we stumbled through breffis prep, while the girls took on a whack-a-thon. :roll: Mannie was too busy doing the fuds dance to participate. Holy carp - what a morning! :o :shock: :lol: :cool: :-D :razz: We had a great test feed and shoot. Purrs were so loud - with squinty eyed ecstasy. weird... what cat gets so enamored with testing? :shock: Maybe he knew he was a very nice 149... Way to go Mannie! We are very wet and drizzly this AM, and with that they have all decided that with full bellies, dreary weather, that a nap-a-thon must ensue... and so it did... BJ on the recliner, Elsa on the sofa, and Mannie - TA DA! - on the nanners. Two are getting hugs, one is a pillow, and the others are rear foot rests... Life couldn't be better.... :cool: :-D

Have a great day everyone! I am off later this morning to play car shuffle with my youngest son, the musician, as he upgrades his car music system to one that is of major musical significance. Musicians! can't listen to tunes off of "ordinary" car stereos - distorted he says... huh? anyways... gonna play taxi cab today while they work on his car. it will be good to see him, hang out for a while. :-D :razz:

Hey kitties!!! WOW - what a birthday party for Gracie -everybody was there!!! We did good by her. Maybe we need a day of recovery today? Some chillaxin' someplace? Good morning Michelle & Mannie!! I see some greens on your horizon today. Hopefully everyone got their naps in and are able to have a relaxing day.

Car jockeying is always fun. What would the kids do with just a regular old radio like we had? Funny! It is so nice of you to play the jockey game.

Wow, Michelle, I think Mannie really made a nice comeback, and I agree that some greens may be in the picture. What a nice report on the civvies and Mannie and his nanners. that sounds like a nice day hanging out with your DS.

Hi Mannie, chillin out and planning otj parties sounds great. Rusty suggested hanging out at Gracie's pool and having leftovers. we could plan the party there and swim, too, what do ya think, Maggie

I think he may make it - maybe! oh I know on the radio.... when I was a youngster we were lucky to have the radio - and it was only AM! no FM, and what was tapes? we didn't even have CD's... and 8 tracks? omg... i did miss those 8track days, good i think. It will all be fun... :-D

Hi Ann - That he did, didn't he? I like it - hoping for greens later today. And yes - it will be good to spend some time with the kid. All of mine are so busy, so it is nice when the opportunity comes along to get together, for whatever the reason. :-D

Hi Michelle, It's so nice to seed Mannie in lower blues today. I'll bet green is just around the corner! Nice that you can help out your son today while he gets the ultimate car sound system installed! We had our VW bug, no radio, for 21 years. We used to sing to "him".
I hope your weather improves. "Severe thunderstorms" have just been posted for our area. I'm glad we're not canoeing today!

i thought of mannie this weekend while my eldest had her kitty, jackson, here. he kept licking the nanners. anya and punkin roll or sleep on the nanners, but they are not nanner-lickers. jackson, however, is a nanner-licker.

perhaps he and mannie are distant relatives! :lol:

Nice slow cycle this morning for Mannie, you should be safe for the shuttle dance. I hope they put their heads together last night and Tess follows suit.

I lovelovelove how Mannie has recovered from the ugliness of the other day and is showing such pretty numbers now!!!! What an excellent boy he is!! How gentlemanly of him to let the girls duke it out this morning while he just sat back and waited for the food!!

We're actually having a bit of a cloudy day here, too. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to have cooled things down any, though!! I just wish it would rain buckets so my house and yard would get a bath!!

What a nice even surf Mannie is having today. He probably doesn't want to be bothered with too many pokes today since it sounds like a nice day to just sleep in.

Hope you enjoyed your time with your DS. I remember only being able to listen to AM radio -- I think FM wasn't even around (I must be sooo old!). And remember the lovely 8 track tapes? Right in the middle of your favorite song, the track would skip to the next track. How annoying that was.

Hi Patty - oh me too on the ugliness of teh other day - huge sigh of relief! this morning was funny with the whacking... he just watched them go at it... Once again I should have had the camera! -- It's been cool here most of the day - rain this AM. Now though we are back to 65 and even have some sun here and there. Go figure.... maybe the rain is headed your way?

Hi Georgia - Right you are on eh pokes - although he does show up when he hears me get things ready. the rest though he has been in nap mode. he finally decided it was nice enough to go outside. he and the others are soaking up what sun they can find on the deck. -- OH WOW! Someone else who remember 8track tapes! They did skip alot didn't they. I remember my first radio - mono only, AM only, and it had maybe 10 stations. I remember thinking how wonderful this was! Guess I am OLD too! :lol: :lol: Good times, huh!

Hi Marje - ok... what is up with the girls???? Tell them that trying to emulate a "perfect storm" is not a good idea. he's hosting a BBQ tonight at the blue lagoon, and sure doesn't want to be the only one there. :lol: :lol: It will be interesting to see what Mannie does tonight - he's been a flat blue for close to 3 cycle now, well almost flat blue - we did have a few speedbumps.

I knew we needed more screaming lizards!
