And for all my mocha fans: a Venti quad dutch apple infused white mocha, with caramel whip, garnished with caramelized apple clusters, white chocolate shavings and a caramel drizzle...... SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of apple and vanilla and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, sprinkled with crystallized apple nits and a chocolate caramel drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are along for the ride.
I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. Nicholas and I had an exceptional one. We went to one of my fav river spots, up in the mountain area this side of Stevens Pass. It is incredibly beautiful there, with wide open valleys, rivers in the middle, and impressive mountain ranges. The day was sunny, warm, with a slight breeze. So off we went to enjoy it. This is what I wrote in last night's post: "i everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. I am back home later than expected, and WOW: TIRED! Nicholas and I did head on out to a river today, and ended up spending the whole day there. I barely made his pickup time at his dad's work. ;-) What a great day today for the little guy and I. The Skykomish River at Jack's Pass (15 miles in off of HWY 2, shy of Stevens Pass) was ever so nice. Nice and warm up there too. Thank gawd there was a breeze. In all the times we went last year, and this, this was the first time I have pulled onto that side road and found a couple camping. LOL: they camped in my park spot. the nerve! It was ok, they didn;t mind us, and we gave them their space. Nicholas had a ton of fun exploring, playing in the river. He threw a ka-zillion rocks, a few sticks, went wading up to his knees, collected flowers, walked trails, ate as many berries as he could find. The area was full of thimbleberries, and a few salmonberries. It was so beautiful there today. I just love it there. It seems the Nicholas does too. On the way home I stopped at the junction for the FSR 65 offshoots, and the bridge where the Beckler River joins the Rapid, as it is one of the first spots that can get cell reception and I wanted to get the mobiles uploaded. What was so fun was that Nick recognized it, begged to get out and go see the Beckler River. So we did. Alot of folks camping there too. We stayed mostly on the Rapid River side at the spot where the two rivers join. so fun to watch him play in the river - he was soaked. It was so hot there that it must have felt good. What a great day for him. As we packed up to head home for sure he tells me "we gotta go back, please. soon, ok?" sure little guy, anytime you want. love it.
" Here are the Picassa link to the photos and the videos: Skykomish River: Jack's Pass, Rapid River The last section of the photos, where the river scenery changes to a more woods like area is the portion of the day spent on the Rapid River, the rest is all Jack's pass.
Yesterday I wrote about the recycling cans in the bin in the storage cupboard under the sink.... I had so hoped that it was a one time occurrence.... NOPE! I came home today to find cans once again scattered throughout the house.
     Well, in all honesty it was only 6 small cans, as I did dump yesterday's once I realized they were can hunting... we so need to fix this... like yesterday.... I was so late getting home yesterday that I was certain the welcoming committee may have set up tents, and would be camping out waiting for me... well not quite, but they were prancing.  The Mannie prance! It seems he taught them his dance moves. ;-) I had to sign a blood oath that I would not be late again. Seems he taught them that too.   sorry guys.... but traffic was the pits. All else is as it is here these days: Normalcy in MusketeerVille! ya know... scattered kitty toys on the kitchen floor, shredded paper, tossed fuds cans, magazines knocked off the table and scattered. OH! We have a new one! he lid on the butter dish was askew and down the one side was a big long kitty lick mark. Somebody had a field day.  Nicholas also wanted Lola to join him for breffis yesterday. Well she showed without an invite. It sees to be her thing now. I took a few photos. Seems she thinks blackberries are good. HUH? Breffis: Lola and Nicholas
Have a great day everyone. Nicholas will be here again today, and normally today is a swim day. We will see what he wants to do, but I expect/know he'll want to go to the pool. He loves that as much as he does those rivers! I will try and get to condos when I can. Forgive me if I miss so many of you....
KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!!
