Happy Friday! Sending tons of prayers and healing vines out to Jupiter and Jamie. Lots of new members with :mrgreen: :mrgreen: kitties last night and they all handled it like pros!!!

I know you are all waiting with restless anticipation because it is DREADED LUPITA FRIDAY and Lupita was not here last week....so we missed a week in the ongoing saga of "As the Gracie/Lupita World Turns" :lol: :lol: :lol: This morning was a somewhat new and different interaction. It started out the usual way....Lupita singing and talking to Gracie....Gracie giving her the major stinkeye and then slipping in a very subtle hiiissssssssssssss. But then her royal shubbiness (Gracie, not Lupita), jumped down off her throne and walked by Lupita with her tail in the air and sassy little butt swinging side to side as if to say you are invisible to me; you are not part of MY world!. It was so evident that she was "dissing" Lupita that we both laughed and laughed. And then as she got to the end of the hall, she turned around and looked directly at Lupita as if to say so there!!! ...then punctuated with a tiny, barely discernible hissssss. Point well made, baby girl!!

Thank you all so much for the fabulous birthday wishes and photos. We all enjoyed them immensely especially the Principessa and each of you made her day special. I had posted her birthday photos on FB and many of you commented (it meant so much to us) and referred to "LBG". The "breederette" (it's a married couple that have the cattery) emailed me last night and said "LBG? Little Big Girl?" :lol: :lol: :lol: She also said:
Gracie was one of those once-in-a-lifetime kittens! I can remember her antics as a kitten better than I can remember those of many other kittens, as she just had this certain something about her. Fearless comes to mind, only it was more than that... It was only because of that slight wry jaw that we didn't feel comfortable in breeding her -- otherwise, she would have been everything we wanted in a straight-ear, short-hair girl for breeding! :) Our loss, your gain...

I hear you, Alexis. Lupita said to me today as she vacuumed the sofa "Mrs. Marje....did you quit snacking at night? I haven't found any crumbs in the sofa in weeks!" :shock: :shock: So I hissed at her :lol: :lol: :lol:

Awwww Gracie is looking sweet in green for sure !!

Being new here, I'm not quite sure who Lupinda is, but the way you tell of her and Gracie's interactions make me giggle. She has such a little personality :lol:

The picture of her in that little plastic basket was just precious. Such a face !! If cats had fatter cheeks, I'd be squishing hers like the crazy aunt we all have :-D

Lupita is our housekeeper. She started working for us when Gracie was one year old so 6 out of Gracie's 7 years. Lupita adores all three cats but she has a high, shrill, loud voice and Gracie doesn't like it. Even as a kitten, she'd hiss at Lupita and then let her pick her up :lol:

I didn't really want to know someone was looking under mine. :lol: :lol: :lol: Guess it's a good thing I turned over a new leaf ;-) it was all those nights of posting "can you get a +5" and having no response when the cat was at 40 nailbite_smile nailbite_smile nailbite_smile now I'm just chewing gum....like a whole pack ;-)

Personally, I think Gracie is being misunderstood. When she pranced by Lupita, she was actually reprimanding her for not coming to work last Friday. And when she turned back, she was really saying "you have no idea how much I missssssssed you!" :lol:
I told you she'd have two weeks worth of hisses stored up!

Thank you all for visiting and making me laugh today. LBG decided 24 hours in green was just not to be but at least she is still "normal" ;-) ;-)
 
Yes it was Amy canning last night...and she posted a nice pic of tons o' berries today too!
 
It was indeed me with the blueberries, and I picked saskatoons and raspberries today . . . but we all need a neighbor like Wendy's who actually brings a pie over! Thanks for all the times you stay up and watch over kitties and their beans, sorry for what it does to your couch cushions, we all owe you some vaccuuming ;-)
 
:-D I have to step in line for vacuum duty then also. Two nights of nailbite_smile for me. My browser refresh icon is pretty shabby looking now.

And oopps on the Lupita (I said Lupinda), now that all makes sense. It amazes me how cats react to different people....Gracie can really be full of P & V :lol:
