Morning, and I think Maggie is feeling better today. Last night I gave her some Merrick Grammy's Pot Pie and also a little this morning, which she loves. It's a little higher in carbs though than I prefer, but her bg is not bad considering she's very carb sensitive. It has more broth than some of the others, and for some reason she's balking at the FF Chicken flavor, so more important that I get some food into her after the shot. Other than the eating issue, all is well in Maggieland, and she can't wait to help her friend, Gracie, celebrate her birthday today! Thanks to Ella and Marje on the dosage, I have Pepcid on my list today, as well as pill pockets, cat food, and then if I have any money left over, I could use a few things! :lol: Weather report is for a nice, sunny day, so I'll get that walk in early. Have a nice day, and I hope the weather is a little better for the Beans in the heat wave states.

good to hear Maggie is feeling better today.
Isn't just like a typical Bean to spend all her money on the furbaby and then see if anything is left over for other things? :lol:

Thanks Natalia, she's feeling better. It's always a worry with her age and health conditions.

Hi Bruce, It is funny with the name, "Grammy's Pot Pie"! It sounds yummy enough for us to eat. Oh boy, I'd better get breakfast, looking bad if I'm that hungry that I would try my cat's fuds! :lol:

Nice numbers for Maggie today, especially when she ate grandma's pot pie. :lol: That definitely sounds like a splurge.

I'm sure there will be a little left over for you to get something at the store Ann. :lol: That made me lol because it is so true. I am the crazy cat and dog lady at the store. Cart loaded down with everything for them and a couple of small things for us.

I'm so glad Maggie is feeling better, eating, and putting out some better BGs!!

Gracie is SO excited about her party and that Maggie is coming. I'm sure Tobey will be on guard on his special cake Ella is baking just for him but if Maggie is sweet to him...he might share.

Hi Iorwen, thanks and she does seem to be feeling better, although still sleeping a lot! I wonder if their numbers are lower when they're not feeling well!

Hi Melissa, I had to laugh with calling yourself the crazy dog and cat lady. That's probably what they think of me, too, at Petco as the crazy cat lady always buying different foods. I did have some left over ti buy myself a coffee, :lol: Just kidding, not quite yet to the bottom of the barrel!

Hi Marje, thanks and she is better. Now I need to research and read more on the renal disease and be aware. Oh boy, did you say Aunt Ella is baking a special cake for Tobey? I am going to be extra nice to Tobey so that he will share some of his special cake with me.

Hi Ann, Great that Maggie is feeling better today. Grammy's Pot Pie was one of Stu's favorites. I fed it when he needed to be brought up just a bit. Rusty hasn't had an occasion to taste it yet (probably just as well!); he's happy with Wellness Turkey and his "treat" (bedtime) of a little FF Turkey & Giblets.

Rusty is looking forward to seeing Maggie at Gracie's party. It sounds like it will be a wonderful party.

Hi Ella, thanks and yes, Maggie does like the Merrick's "Grammy's Pot Pie" and mostly the broth. She still leaves the chunky part, similar to what someone does with the crust of the bread. :-D , not me though! The FF turkey & giblets is the one fuds that causes a spike. I know the Before Grain Merrick are much better for her, but she doesn't seem to care for it.

Hi Devon and thanks a bunch for stopping by today. I'm surprised, too, it hasn't caused a spike. She's rather low compared to earlier numbers.

Good evening, guys! Maggie's numbers are still pretty great, when you take the AT effect into account. Willie is a HUGE fan of the GPP, though he gets fancy feast so seldom, I think he likes that even better. Sad that GPP is his medium carb food as he loves it and I have a case of it to get through!

Hi Christie, so far the Merrick Grammy's Pot Pie isn't spiking her bg, but she mostly loves the broth. It seems to be a good appetite stimulant when her eating is off! No, not bad with the AT.
 
better late than never as they say.... so sorry.... the day, once again, got away from me, little condo visiting...

It looks like it has been a nice day for Maggie - she and Mannie seem to be on the same page for a while today - nice flat blues. That is good I think.

I am glad that she is feeling better. WOW on the grammie's pot pie - I am surprised that it didn't raise her BG. I t is one I use on occasion too when I need to raise Mannie a little. Interesting! ECID I guess. :cool:

I loved this mornings comment about getting the furkids all their stuff,and if a little was left over,maybe something for the bean... too funny, and so true! :-D
