Mornin' LL,

I slept in this morning....almost a hour! :shock: And what's even crazier is, i didn't receive a kitty wake up call! :shock: Leo was fast asleep in his kitty bed when i got up and was instantly full of purrs while waiting for breffis. We had a good test, shoot and feed and went outside for 30 minutes or so, we were just hangin out on the front step when all of a sudden Leo swats a dragonfly out of thin air and gobbled him up in like 1 second, it was a sort of "blink and you'll miss it" episode, oh it cracked me up how fast it all happened :lol: What a cat!

I have noticed that Leo isn't as ravenous as he usually is, he's actually leaving food in his dish, am i crazy to think that SRT did this? He still eats a lot of food, but not as much as normal, i was worried yesterday so i gave him a pepcid and that didn't make a difference like it normally does, and he seems to be feeling good so who knows???

Leo crawled under the shed in the backyard a few days ago, right underneath where the gas for the lawnmower is stored and some had obviously leaked out, when he crawled underneath the shed his back was covered in gas, which made his fur all greasy and stinky, so much so he had to have a bath last night! He was mad at me allllllll night after that :lol: :lol: He seems to have forgotten it this morning and he smells like baby shampoo now!

Anyhoo, going to attempt a BTB so condo visiting later :-D

Good deal, Leo, on getting that dragonfly! Protein on the fly!!! :lol: It sounds like that he decided to allow you to sleep in a bit more this morning. You both probably needed it. Hoping for lower #s for you today, and every day. If you go btb, please nap for me too. :lol:

Vyktor got into my old van's engine once and got coated in grease and oil. More fool me I thought the easiest way to clean him up would be to jump in the shower with him to shampoo him - you can imagine the results :lol: :lol:

Yay for a little sleep in and especially for a great Leo report :-D :-D :-D

So nice to hear Leo is feeling good, killing dragon flies, and not as hungry. He is such a good boy. Oh boy on the bath! I bet that was fun not. I can't even imagine trying to give either of ours a bath. It would not end well for us hoomins I am pretty sure. Have a great day Tracy!!

Leo makes me laugh with his catches, now a dragonfly! :-D And oh no, a bath and smelling like baby shampoo. Leo, I think you better come with the KTSS today, and we'll help rid you of the baby smell. Have a nice day, Tracy and thanks for your support on Maggie.

:lol: if ya hadn't ticked off leo with the baby shampoo bath, you could've asked him why his appetite is less! too bad! ;-)

who knows - punkin's appetite is more normal than it's been all along, but it could also be because i'm feeling him more. when we switched foods about a month ago, the cans are bigger and instead of giving him 9oz of Fancy Feast, he's getting 11 oz of Merrick's or Friskies every day. I don't know how the calories compare, but he is definitely heavier. so hard to know if he's more satisfied because i'm giving him more or because the growth hormone is letting up. i wish we could get the GH test done still.

Hunt what is available! :-D :-D My GA Cleo used to love grasshoppers, me not so much when she brought them in to bed! ohmygod_smile

Cleo also taught me the first step in giving the cat a bath, CLIP THEIR CLAWS! Even then she shredded several shower curtains! :roll:

I'm glad you two are getting some rest after your long trip!

Well done, Leo! You haven't missed a beat from a week of missed hunting. Those yellows aren't terrible but maybe a visit to the blue grotto? You gotta forgive your bean for that bath - you don't want to be cleaning up that nasty gasoline off your fur. Have the DGPs seen Leo since SRT? Have a good one, Tracy!

Glad to hear Leo is up to mischief and feeling well. I would so love it if Neko's appetite faded a bit. Cute on the dragonfly too. Neko has been walking and not running of late so I've been wondering how she is feeling, but last night I caught her running and leaping after a moth. They can still move fast if motivated! I bet Leo is looking forward to his next mousie dinner. Closest I ever came to giving Neko a bath was when she got to close to a baby skunk. But then I think she knew I was trying to help.
 
Thanks ladies for stopping in. Leo snoozed the day away, i'm wondering if he isn't suffering from a bit of lethargy, and then i also wonder if i'm just being a nervous nelly and watching Leo too closely, Leo seems to think its the latter. I went out and had a 'Tracy' day, had my hair cut and coloured and went shopping, when i got back Leo was ready to go outside and try his paw at hunting, tried pouncing on a few birds but was unsuccessful. Looks like the lethargy is gone and i am a nervous nelly.

Leo has not seen his DGP's since SRT, just when we crossed the border back into Canada (a few days ago) i noticed i had a voice mail message from my parents and figured i'd better call them back, i put the phone on speaker and put it up to Leo's face, my mom answered and Leo meowed, she said "who is this?" Leo answered her again, she said "Leo is that you?" he meowed back to her :lol: :lol: :lol: It was so funny the way she would ask a question and Leo would answer. So, long story short, Leo has talked to his DGP's and they phone everyday to see how he's feeling. My BFF's bought me a ticket to some comedy show at the lake on Saturday so i have no choice but to go so Leo will see his DGP's this weekend and hopefully get some mousing in while he's there.

I know Leo will love seeing his DGPs, and you deserve a treat as well. Your friends must've known you needed an outing! Good for them!!! And good for both of you!!!
 
We do the same thing with Zener: is he ok? is he lethargic? Then we notice Tillie doing exactly the same thing. Uh, reminder to self: cats sleep a lot. :lol: :lol: That is so cute that your mom talked to Leo on the phone and he answered! :lol: Have a great time at the comedy show. Good luck with the mousing, Leo, I know you'll have a blast with DGPs. They have sure missed their boy.
