Good Monday Morning Lantus Land AND
TO MOMMY AND DADDY'S SWEET BABY GIRL!!!
Gracie is doing wonderful this morning...as usual. Unfortunately, MOM still doesn't have her totally figured out. She was setting up for a beautiful green cycle; I shot a dropping number (which I had boosted up at +10 and it still dropped) and so I started her off with some 8% and gravy and that was all she wrote. So perhaps this dose isn't enough.....but we don't know yet between the bounce and me overdoing it last night. Normally on a dropping number (NEWBIES: please do not shoot dropping numbers; we have LOTS of data), she just keeps going down even if I feed her a higher carb food. I'm hoping she'll turn back around today and come down and I can allow her to have her greens. But she's cheery and cruising around with her tail up (as usual) with her little bow legged (back legs) walk that is so adorable.
I woke up this morning with stereo purring....Gracie on one side and Gus on the other!! Welcome to Monday!! And what a Monday it is.....Our girl's 5th birthday!! She was so happy and purry this morning....she got tons of back and chin scritches and tummy rubs. I could see her "smiling". We are so thankful for that little tiny, almost indiscernible shift of her jaw one way when she was developing that made the breeder decide she could be a pet instead of a breeding kitten. Everyone won that day (except the breeder that was supposed to get her) but especially Mike and me because we get to share this incredible little soul's journey through life and learn lessons that only she could teach us. She never ceases to amaze us every single day no matter how many pokes she gets or how high or low her numbers go....she is just a sweet, sweet baby...our Amazing Grace!! So have a wonderful FIFTH birthday and tons of healthy birthdays to come, baby....you are the light of our lives and we love you very much!!
For me...work but at least at home. I hope you have a great day. I doubt I'll get to visit many condos....will try later as the day progresses. I might be able to sneak in a few at a time ;-)
And here she is as a kitten. This is the picture that stole my broken heart (we had lost our 21 year old Sitka a few months before) and made me open it to love another furbaby.
Hey my friends!! It's my BIRFDAY!!! I'm so excited. Mama says I am FIVE...whatever that means!!! I still feel like a kitten, though! We can have a pool party, Mama says, and she made us Roadrunner Spiced Deviled Eggs, Zebra-tailed Lizard jalapeno poppers, and Grilled Quail breasts with a chipotle glaze!!! YUMMM!!! I think Auntie Ellabean is making cinnamon cake and Tess might be making a big layered cake!! And we also made some Screaming Lizard Frozen Margaritatinis!!
