I am happy with the blue start this morning.

Glad she made it back to green. Wondering if warmer weather and dehydration could be an issue?

Hmmm, I don't know. I guess with her anything is possible. It has been horribly hot here and she keeps wanting to go out for a walk, but I won't take her out when it is this hot. She hasn't been sitting by her water fountain (which she usually loves to do), so maybe I should add some water to her food.

She didn't wake me up before t/f/s this morning for food which was very nice. :)

Think Osha may want to show you some more greens today :) Looks Osha's Nadir is late in the cycle most times. :cat:
Hopefully we will see more green today. Yep, with Levemir, her nadir is very late in the cycle. Sometimes I think it is right at pre shot time. :cat:

I will probably be going back to work next week. I wonder if I should consider Levemir. Trying to figure out the best way to keep Marvin safe during the day. However since he is just on a drop now not sure if I should switch.

With how well Marvin is doing I wouldn't change a thing. I completely understand about the fear of keeping them safe during the day. I was a complete lunatic sometimes when Osha was on Lantus and I was at work. I much prefer Levemir with the late nadir for safety reasons, but I am sure I will also be nervous when school starts up again.

+6 232  yuck! Oh well, I am sure she will eventually come back down.

My dear friend just called and asked if my daughter and I would like to go and get a pedicure with her and she asked first if Osha was in safe numbers to leave the house. :)

I love that she isn't judgmental about how I care for my kitty. Clearly Osha wanted to give us permission to go out this afternoon :cat:

That is great, I know my friends don't get it, when I have declined to go out for a full evening. They haven't said anything lately, but they did at least once suggests the unthinkable.

Love it! I am lucky that most of my friends are animal people. Even though non of them have ever had a diabetic animal, they totally get it that Walter and Mandarin come first.

Hey Amanda, just curious (or nosy!), what grade and/or subject do you teach?

I teach pre-kindergarten. :) My students are 4-5 years old. I am starting at a new school this year and I will be in their VPI+ program classroom which means I will be working with at risk students whose families are all below the poverty line. I am very hopeful that this will be a great transition for me. I will have support of the county head start office and family services. I will be doing home visits and will make sure that families get the support that they need such as mental, medical, disability, etc support. It is a very cool program that makes sure we are looking at the student and family as a whole. It is going to be a large transition from my last classroom where I was working with very privileged families. I have no doubt that this change will be much more rewarding.

Sounds like an awesome program! Good luck with everything. Early intervention services mean the world to the lucky kiddos who are able to get them.

I agree, Amanda. :) Very hard but rewarding ...
