Good afternoon all,
Saw a bounce in BG after dose increase on 7/23/2013.
Jessica seems not hungry this morning (5:15AM). So scary and took 2 AMPS test ( 370 & 368)
Don't know why!! She looks lethragy. After I mixed the chicken with FF Can food then she started to eat.
Hope get good number this evening.

Jessica - you may be a girl but pink isn't your color... :-D Glad you decided to eat too - not eating is VERY SCARY for us beans!

Thought I'd answer your question in Sienne's condo about the 'F' behind the dose number. 'F' stands for 'fat', 'S' on some stands for 'skinny'. After we have a lot of info on our cats, we know when to 'fatten' the dose by a drop but not take it up a full .25 units. 'Skinny' is the opposite, expressing a drop OFF a dose. With practice, you can make 3 different size drops per .25 units. I fatten and skinny KT's doses as an increase or decrease of a full .25u's is usually too much.

Jessica has been on an antibiotic for quite a while. How much longer does your vet think she needs to be on an AB?

Sometimes numbers do go up for a cycle or two after a dose increase. We refer to it as "new dose wonkiness" (NDW). I'm not sure if that's what's going on, though. It may be that Jessica is going to need more insulin, but let's give this dose the full 6 cycles and then decide.

Re. the question about the dose on Gabby's SS -- it's a "fat" 0.5u. In other words, it's a drop more than 0.5u.

Two more days total 28 days the antibiotic will be done.
I just bought a bottle of Zobaline, hope it can improve her back leg.

Don't know whether this supplement is U.S.Vet approved?

Zobaline is methyl-B12 which is a B vitamin. I don't know if it's FDA approved, either. I'm not sure if vitamins are typically FDA approved.
