You can always leave extra food out. If you don't already have one, you may want to think about getting a timed feeder for days when you're going to be gone. Alternatively, you can make "catsickles." (You add sufficient water to Harley's food to make it soupy and then freeze in portions. I've used ice cube trays. You can then put a few out to defrost. That way, the food stays fresh -- unless you have a cat like mine who will lick the frozen food as soon as I put it out.)
