Hey Paul, I hope you can get to the bottom of your bottomless pit. Wonder if it is the cannabis oil increasing his appy? What if you spread his daily calories over more feedings so he feels like you are attending to his run away appetite?
I do use the feeder but he cries for more food when I don't leave enough. Yeah, the CBD oil might be giving him the munchies :p

Just throwing this out there since the thyroid is in discussion. I know hypothyroidism has been brought up in this thread but just in case I do know of a specialist in NY that exclusively treats hyperthyroidism. Just an FYI. I stumbled across this place by accident and when I saw the name of the clinic I thought the gods had answered my prayers and there was FD specialist that actually existed!!! Unfortunately Dr Peterson limits his practice to hyperthyroidism only. I've actually called on two separate occasions (before leaning on this board for help) to try and convince them to see Beenie . No luck but if anyone had a diagnosis of hyper I would refer them there in a heart beat.

Thanks Michelle, I have seen that place posted here. It looks top notch!

I hate to keep replying on old threads, lol!! I'd encourage you to start a new one so we're not bumping up something that's 3 weeks old.

As far as punkin's appy, his pre-SRT voracious appetite did go back to somewhat more normal eventually. I can't tell you when that was, though. It was a gradual thing and at some point, I realized that he wasn't quite as starving all of the time. It still was a healthy appetite compared to my other cat, but it wasn't as bad as pre-SRT.
