Lousy yesterday

Thank you, everyone, for the visits, vines and prayers for our guy and hugs for us. :-D We appreciate your support. I don't know how we would do this without LL. He is really struggling now to get around. He could hardly stand last night and the beans were very worried. :sad: I am going to call the vet at 8 am to get bloodwork done this morning to follow up on Wendy's suggestion about potassium. Paws crossed. Zener is doing a little better this morning but his appy is lousy. He did manage a yard patrol along with a good sniff in the catnip bush. :-D :lol: He's now on the bed with sleeping Annebean. I gave him a tummy massage and could feel some spasms. Poor guy. Just now he's eaten a little more so maybe that helped.

OT: Tillie isn't eating so great either but she's busy doing mouse patrol. I think we forgot to mention that she scored twice on Monday.

The vet just called and we're going to take him in. I think they will be able to squeeze in bloodwork. You'd never know anything was wrong to look at him.

Great job to you Tillie on your hunting successes, but don't fill up on those little guys. You need your fuds too :-D Appy vines headed your way.

The vet is really busy today but she did manage to take a look at our guy. They are going to draw blood and will call with the results. We will go home in the meantime and may come back if needed. Thank you for your kindness. :-D

I'm sorry Zener is still not moving very well. I hope the b/w results give you an answer and it is something manageable. Sending prayers and hugs. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Well, the bloodwork looks mostly normal. BG was high (no surprise) and a liver value was a tad low. Everything else was normal range. I'm taking him in for fluids in a bit. Hopefully that will work some magic.

Good news on the bloodwork. I hope the fluids help. Wonder if he just pulled a weird muscle or something? Like maybe a delayed injury from the cat fight? Sending more vines for Zener and beans :YMHUG:

Normal BW is good...but I know you want an answer. We're sending tons and tons of prayers. Could he have an ear infection or something along those lines? I'm sure with the CH it might be harder to tell if his ears are bothering him.....just a thought.

I'm so sorry Mr. Z is not feeling that well. Seems like both our boys are having some tough times right now. Praying that he starts doing better by tomorrow.
 
Thanks all for your visits, thoughts, prayers, and suggestions. Our guy is feeling a little better after the fluids, but energy still low and balance and walking still shaky. We have fluids to use at home for a few days, and a visit on Monday with our main vet, Captain Team Zener. So, in the meantime, as our guy tells us "pet more, worry less."

Sending feel better vines for my favorite Zener! Glad the BW came back mostly within range and glad the fluids are helping some. Scritches to Zener & Tillie (congrats on your two "scores"!) :YMHUG: to the beans!!!
 
Tons of vines and prayers for your two sweeties. Mike and I hope that this is temporary and Zener will quickly recover.

Yay for normal bloodwork. However, sometimes it's more frustrating when the BW is good, because you're left wondering: So what is it???

I'm glad Zener seems to be moving a little better.
