Yestereday's Condo !!!!


I must be crazy as I didn't even think twice on shooting the 144. I figure it is close enough to the 150 mark and since Skooter gets his IBD med in the morning now which seems to spike him AND I will dropping home around +4.25 to +4.75 to test and feed him. I think we will be good, I hope. :lol: :lol: :lol:

I need to find a better system of waking myself up for testing during the night. It is just so hard because I am so tired while trying to get use to this new (hopefully temporary) schedule of testing at all hours.

Sending healing vines to all the kittehs and beans who need them and a very happy birfday to my brother in law today!!!

Hi guys .. nice shooting this morning! I know when we were doing middle of the night testing with mocha we had our alarm clocks next to our heads go off, plus one clear across the room that we had to get up out of bed to turn off .. and even then, we missed a few tests! Have a great day guys!

I came home for lunch to test Skooter and he was at 67, which isn't a bad thing, and I know he tends to nadir early. I am not sure this is a true 911 event, but I need to know what to do ASAP.

I did give him 1/2 3 oz LC food for his mid-meal. My concern is I will not be home until + 10.5 tonight to test again.

Should I leave out some gravy from a HC FF gravy lovers for him to much on? He ate up his mid day meal pretty darn fast and drank a bit of water. I will need to head back towards work in about 15 minutes, so any advice would be welcome!

I will give him some HC gravy and leave out some of the food as well....

I will be checking to see if there is anyway I can leave even an hour or two early today so I can get back home to test him......send nice boss vines that he lets me!!!!

I gave him probably about 3 teaspoons of the HC food and he is already going at it. He heard the drawer open and got out of his bed and went to his plate.......


Oh I am so worried about going back to work, I hope he is ok.....Should I be giving him more? I don't want him to get full or sick.....

Thanks again, Liz.....he is sooooooooo affectionate right now....he is getting more and more affectionate, the way he used to be :)

He did not eat all of the HC, but I will leave a little bit more out and hope that I can leave work early today......

Not that I own a crystal ball or anything....but I am seeing a BOUNCE in someone' future....I just hope it is short lived and happens tomorrow while I am at work lol


As for the night time testing, my problem is I can't have something clear across the room as I won't hear it. I was born missing my right ear, with no opening there I am completely deaf on the right side and there is a little hearing loss on the left.....

Perhaps I will just have to start setting alarms with music I hate a couple minutes a part or something.....

It is going to be interesting to see what tonight brings for Mr. Skooter....

Thanks! Let's hope tomorrow goes better as I can't get away from work until 12:15, which is about half way through his cycle. But then again, at that point he 1. usually has hit his nadir and 2. would only have about 4 hours before I could check him again.


While barely yellow, I will take this bounce (assuming that is what it is). Dinner tonight was about 1/2 3 oz can and 1/4 of a 5.5 can....looks like he ate about half so far, but he tends to eat part of it, then go back for the rest later.

He still seems a little off, but since I have been saying that for the past week or so, I am gonna just go with this his current normal....He is being WAY more affectionate than he has been in a while, and initiating most of it. He is starting to use his bed that my sister got him for Christmas and that makes me happy. I must remember that his poor lil body is going through so much right now trying to regulate, so trying really hard not to over think every little thing he does.....throwing in the white flag and ordering his timed feeder tonight....he just isn't digging his frozen meals.

On tap for momma bean tonight: cleaning the bathroom and the kitchen and deep clean the hallway.....finishing up season 5 of NCIS and will most likely be starting season 6 tonight.....

Now, now Skooter....while I do enjoy you being in the blues (and even if by one, it still is blue!)....there is no need to be in such a rush seeing as you went rather low today....enjoy that bounce (just not too much).....

Thank goodness mommabean has a WHOOOOOOLE season of NCIS she hasn't seen yet (season six) to keep her busy, since you have decided you want extra attention tonight with pokies in the ear!

I was planning to go to bed after his last test, but I am thinking I should be staying up and getting either a +5 or a +5.5.......

I know he nadirs early in his cycle, I just don't know if 30 minutes is long enough to do another test. He did get his last meal at 4.5 as well, so I am not sure if that may alter what tests I need to do.

Advice would be great, thanks!

This time I am staying up until midnight to get the +5.5, I have learned my lesson about trying to catch a few I-) I-) I-) I-) I-) between tests :lol:

We sleep with our iPhones and set the time we need. Mike sleeps very soundly but the alarm always wakes him up.

Yeah, I need to find a better way to wake up....I can't have an alarm super far since I am half deaf, I won't hear it....so have it set to go off at 1 for a +6.5 and I am hoping that his numbers are going up.

Is it possible his nadir is changing from early (usually around +4) to a more normal +6 or so?

The one thing I have learned through all of this is the cat is gonna do what the cat wants to do lol, so I am guessing it is possible for the to change when they hit their nadir lol

Forgot to ask....

I am assuming the 289 was a bounce from his 67 earlier today (+4.75).....if so, is it possible to clear a bounce that quickly? and is that a good thing or a bad thing?

yes, it's possible he cleared the bounce that quickly....it wasn't much of a bounce in the grand scheme of things...he's really doing well!

and you're right on nadir too....just because they nadir a +5 one day, one week or one month doesn't mean they won't nadir at +3, +8 or +11 tomorrow!

Since he seems to be trending up, I am heading to bed for like 4.5 hours so I can get up for work....

You are doing an amazing job with Scooter! He looks great today. I hope he will surf safely for you all night. I hear you on the 4.5 hours of sleep. Lately, for me, that's a lot! :roll:
