Good morning
hope Merlin settles for a flatter curve and spends more time in greens

We will retest nowi hope @Bron and Sheba (GA) jumps in but i would definitely take out the heavy guns already, not a lot but higher carbs, he intends to dive. Did you retest the 181?
i would go slightly higher, yesterday at +2 you fed 8 and he kept on going downOk. Feeding 10g of 8… unless I hear otherwise?
if it was me, i would go as least slightly higher, you still have 3 hours of dropping, he will still drop, just slower. But of course you can try 9.8 and see in half an hourWe can give 9.8 or higher
Of course it is.That was a little crazy. He had been playing with a feather toy and leaping in the air just before the test. He doesnt usually play much this time of day, but he was having such a nice time. I wonder if this affected the drop? Is it ok to play??
I think 15 is a good idea. And test in 20 so we can give some more if it is still dropping a lot.Im thinking 15 now…
Go for it, Jill you are calling the shots.Feeding 10g of 15 unless I hear otherwise….
I knew he was going to do this to you this morning. He’s gotten into a real pattern of morning excitement and evening bounce cycles. It’s actually good that he doesn’t spend long in the bounce cycles. He’s eating that up now. Testing in 20
As Marina said, it’s a lot of trial and error - not wrong or right. The real way to find out if this will work for Merlin is to try it and see how he responds. It alo may not be the same response every time because every cycle can be different. If you find something that works the majority of the time, then that’s good. I remember we tried doing a 15 percent breakfast at one point earlier in his journey. I think it may have been helpful - but then things started to change and he earned dose reductions and was staying pretty high so you switched to lower carbs at breakfast.I wonder if we should be giving higher carb breakfasts, then? This was a mix of 6 and 8, mostly 6. He has decided he doesnt like the 8 he has been loving for so long. It’s hard to find a good replacement.
I sure wish I could just find a formula that works, but it seems like we are trying to climb a mountain of jelly. As Marina said, it’s a lot of trial and error - not wrong or right. I would give maybe a teaspoon of something just a bit higher around 18% or 20%76 @+2.5 plus 10 min
I’m hoping this will slow him right up and then he will surf. I just don’t want him to drop under 50 and earn a reduction just yet if we can help it.Ok. Giving 10g of 19
How long until the hourTesting in 30, instead of on the hour?
9 minutesHow long until the hour
Yes test in 309 minutes
Good Jill.Giving 10g of 30
That's better, but you already know the drill to keep testing.70 @+3.75!!
I think I would not feed and test in 20 again. Are you happy to do that?70 @+3.75!!
