Hello LL!

Boy, what a difference a day makes! Meadow woke up in wonderful spirits today. She has eaten up a storm and kept everything down. She's been active and chipper all day. Normal LB deposits too.

Last night I gave her the prescribed dose of Tramadol because when I picked her up, she would meow and want to get away, so I thought she might have some pain. I did NOT like the reaction. Her pupils got so dilated I couldn't see any white, she seemed "on edge" and would get up and circle on wobbly legs like a drunk and it almost seemed like she was hallucinating. So I won't be giving her that any more. So it was another stressful night for me jus watching until she finally settled down and went to sleep for the night.
She is more vocal than usual today. Not sure if it is still from that or something else. But as I said, she is fine in all other respects. Just hoping this trend continues.

I love hearing these happy cat reports about Meadow. Whew she sure gave us a scare!

Hey Meadow,
When you are feeling up to it I'd like to take you out for a drive in the Catillac.

the pred will help her appy, but hopefully she won't be on it too long, b/c it will also mess with BGs.

But eating... GOOD. Glad she is feeling better. Remember to take care of yourself too!!

I tell all cats react to meds diff, I have only used tramadol on one cat a couple years ago and he did fine but example a cat I recently used lomotil on for diarrhea made he act so drunk and most cats are ok on this when I have used it (do not use it often) but vet thought it would help its not something we prescribe a lot where I work anyway it took my boy 2 days to get over that drug so I sure understand what you mean when you hate to see a med making them act wobbly. So very very happy Meadow is better (((((HUGS)))))
