7/23 Mac AMPS 526 +5 416 +7 369 +9 269 PMPS 121 +1 120 +2 114 +3 109 +4 113 +137

Mac is down to 133 from 526 this morning. do I stall and see if goes up or?? He usually eats late in the cycle and didn't today.

I want to shoot but he has been going down since this morning. What do you advise?

I waited 15 minutes and he is 121.

Update: Since I did not get a response. I went ahead and shot about 25 min late. Am feeding him now and will take +1 and +2 and watch rest of night. Fingers crossed

Good luck tonight Jill! Mac must be breaking the bounce. I’m sure you have MC and HC or syrup if you need it.
Hope you get some advice soon on his cycle.
maybe @Angela & Cleo is around also?

Could you remove the "?" prefix and change the title to show you no longer need help as you did shoot. Then if things change at +1 or +2, we'll know it's a new situation you need help with.

Would you have advised to shoot? I had to make the decision because time was passing and no one had responded and I could monitor. Thanks

Yes, I'm not an avocate of skipping insulin. Of course, you have to be able to monitor, have plenty of strips and high carb food. Best way to get Mac back into remission, if possible, is to get him regulated as quickly as possible.

that's what I thought and I was prepared so I went for it. Holding back insulin has never helped when I did it.

so tonight how do I guide Mac's numbers. His +2 is about same as his preshot number. He is at 114 at +2. Do I want him to get into green? How far do I let him get into the green before I start reacting more or do I feed him small amounts of LC to guide him down?

Sorry I wasn’t around earlier. What did you decide to do as far as feeding? Nice blue surf. Good you shot. As long as you can monitor and he will eat you want to shoot if over 50.

Typically you feed a tsp of LC when they first hit green, to try to encourage a surf. But looks like he's surfing low blues tonight.
