Good Morning LL!!!!!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (hmmmmmm, I wonder if that is too many! ziiiiiiiiiiiPPPPPPP!), and Happy Tuesday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is TUNA TUESDAY!!! Lola and Bug want to make their famous triple tuna pies, with tuna and nip infused crust, tuna toppings, and tuna infused cheese. YUMMMMMMMM! these pizza pies totally rock! I have to admit that they are pretty good! And once again this week I got that TUNA MOCHA tEXT! whomever sent me a text that said they wanted a tuna mocha? well.... forgets it! I have my limits, and tuna mocha is one of thems... we leave the tuna in them tuna pies. so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. and for my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized oranges and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are along for the ride!

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. I really enjoyed mine, even with it as busy as it was. I hadn't planned on being in go go go go mode, but I was. It was a good go though: breffis with my son, and a hike after that. The evening rolled around and logic said stop sit relax. SO I did. :-D Here's what I wrote in last night's post: "Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. Mine was mega good, as nicholas would say, Breffis with my son was really nice, but.... We found out this morning that the owner will be closing the place down in about 6 weeks. One of those deals where a small business just can't compete, fray costs etc. Guy hasn't had a pay check in years. I will be sorry to see it go.... So, kinda felt like getting out after that. Would have taken anthony with me too if he didn't have to work. I went to the Snoqualmie river, access by north bend, middle fork it is called. It has been a couple of years since I've been there. last time Erin, Jason, and I went, were strung by a mad swarm of wasps, dozens of stings. sheshhh - the things one remembers. well anyways - the trail is a very long one, i just did 8 miles, just to the section where the trail meets the river again, about 3/4 miles in. It was enough distance to get to where I could get some time at the river. I sat and soaked it in for about an hour. It was nice to spend some time on the banks of the Snoqualmie there before heading home. I was glad I could actually get down to it. :-D :-D It started out very foggy, but sunny and warm when I left. came back with over 400 photos: LMAO: only I could do that...." Here's the photos, and the mobile uploads from the river. Breffis with Anthony (BTW: the lady in the photo is our waitress, she's been there about 15 years). and last but not least: Snoqualmie River, and Snoqulamie River (mobile upload)

The welcoming committed was waiting again yesterday, but no surprises like the day before with the ripped up Kleenex box. She just tried to sneak out. I could see those wheelies turning, and the telepathy: "OK Bug, you distract her long enough so I can dart through the legs" Nope! Foiled at the pass.  She sure did try though. Bug must have been practicing for the 100 yard dash last night - he didn't stop. RAN everywhere! I think too that Lola showed him that the LB pellets amke great hockey pucks. Last nght he was batting them around too. Great.... NOT! Silly cats. Now I'm finding these pellets throughout the house. I strongly suspect that they are picking them up, carrying them in their mouths, and depositing them where they want to play. great.... not! I so need a kitty cam!!! Elsa just shakes her head and goes outside to soak up the sun. Smart girl!

Have a great day everyone! I am watching DGS #2, aka William, for a bit this morning so that my DD can take Nicholas to the dentist for a check up. This was she can focus on the dental visit and not worry about what William is doing or needs. It should be a fun morning. I am off to Seattle in the afternoon to visit with my friend, have a cup of ~O) and Catha up on the latest. :-D WOOT! A good day is brewing...

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!!

Re: 7/23 LOOSE LIPS: Back to the river, AND! It's TUNA TUES

Oh that is heartbreaking about the diner. I know you are pretty attached to the place and it looks like such a great place.

Too funny on the kitty antics. Turnup is a toilet paper shredder, every chance she gets. You can hear it in the middle of the night and she unrolls it and unrolls it and unrolls it. Then she eats it. Turnup is a Qtip guy and we have child locks on all the bathroom cupboards because he figured out how to get them open. They all have their little quirks.

Have a great time with the baby. I bet you don't mind at all. :-D Have a great day Michelle!

Morning Melissa ~O) ~O) ~O) yep, it is on that diner. We have been going there for close to 10 years. I will really miss the place. Anthony put himself through college working there. it will be sad to see it go. Too funny on Turnuip, and the TO shredding. So far Lola hasn't tackled that one. oh WOW on Turnup figuring out how to open the cupboards! child locks for a kitty - you gotta love that. Yes they do: have their own little quirks. Makes life fun. THX on today - it will be fun, busy but fun.

Re: 7/23 LOOSE LIPS: Back to the river, AND! It's TUNA TUES

Good Morning, guys,

Elsa, I'm really ready for the Ethiopian espresso this morning. It is so good. Rusty says you were a great help at the Full Moon Party and that you had some great tips on the proper preparation of Mannie's PNW salmon dish. Bug and Lola's pizzas couldn't be made fast enough for that crowd of kitties!

Michelle, have a great time in Seattle today. Bummer on the diner. We still miss a wonderful diner, The Lumberjack, that was in the hamlet of Blue Mountain Lake for years and that closed about 15 years ago. It had the best "lumberjack" breakfasts.

Too much on Lola's shredding. What a mess! And the litterbox pellets!! Maybe you'll have to change your litter. With regard to the toilet paper, try putting the roll on so that the paper pulls off from underneath, not from above. That way Lola will keep it nicely rolled up?!?

Enjoy the day,

Ella & Rusty

Re: 7/23 LOOSE LIPS: Back to the river, AND! It's TUNA TUES

I so hate seeing the small businesses go down. I know what you mean.

and what really irks me is big chain stores that build across the street and get to leave their old big building there to fall apart. Our only grocery store is probably about to do that.... since they are building a new one.
Our little town is getting more and more empty buildings.
I should have taken over the Hallmark franchise .... oh yeah, I don't want a full time job.

sounds like you have a pretty good day planned.
A little DGS time and off on your own.

I knew the toilet paper was going to get it....

Re: 7/23 LOOSE LIPS: Back to the river, AND! It's TUNA TUES

Morning Michelle, that's sad about the Diner having to close. That food looks so good every time you and your DS have breffifs. Was that biscuits and gravy on that plate.
That was a great hike and some beautiful pics. I so enjoy hearing what Lola and Bugs are up to every day. Tell them I will take three tuna pizzas again. Elsa thanks for the coffee delivery. I think my neighbors about tripped you wanting some, too.
Have a great time with William and with your friend in Seattle.

Re: 7/23 LOOSE LIPS: Back to the river, AND! It's TUNA TUES

Woohoo! Tuna Tuesday! I so love tuna - especially the tuna water. That is my favorite. Do you think they can deliver a nice large bowl of tuna water today. We will take a couple of pizzas too and I'd love to try an iced tuna-cino!

Doesn't it sound oh so yummy! It will help with my nipover! I don't know what happened last night, but I want to know how I ended up wearing a uniform, err outfit! And why I came home with lots of speedos and hats? Did everyone get nekkid again and make fun of me?

Signed Maui the Magificent, in desperate need of tuna water

That's sad about the diner. It sounds like you had a good visit with your DS though. I hope your visit with your friend is good today.

That's not good on Bug playing with the litter pellets too. Crazy cats.

Re: 7/23 LOOSE LIPS: Back to the river, AND! It's TUNA TUES

I must have misunderstood. You could not have said the kittens are playing with poop pellets!
There, I can't make it any clearer. Bahahahahaha!!

I feel bad for you, that the diner is closing. Jim and I had our favorite places, for breakfast, that closed too.
How sad we were. They were the kind of places, where the old timers met for coffee and breffis. The kind of country diners where you find biscuits and sausage gravy. Ahhh, for the good old days.

It's so nice for you to get to Seattle to meet up with your friend.

Hehe, that Lola is a card! Checks used to be a paper shredder, in his younger days. He loved to bunny kick paper towels, and shred TP too. *sigh*
Gees Michelle, you're making me nostalgic today. *sniffle*

Hope you're having a good evening. :-D

Re: 7/23 LOOSE LIPS: Back to the river, AND! It's TUNA TUES

Hi everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. it's been a busy one here today. I had a nice time with Erin, Nicholas and William this morning. Nicholas had a dentist appt, so I watched William while mom took DGS to the dentist. I guess he did ok there, but no way did he want anyone to clean his teeth. I hear he put on quite the scene, tears were flowing,. Everything else they did was fine, but no way, no how on the teeth cleaning. oh well, to be expected I think. He is, after all, only 2, and sometimes strangers don't go over well, especially ones that want to mess with his mouth. He goes back in 6 months for another check up so hopefully things will be better then. Poor kid! ;-) Seattle was a nice time too. It's always good to see friends. The erst to the day was spent cleaning, since I ignored it over the weekend.  Tomorrow I will post some photos I took while over at my DD's, of the boys.

HI Barb - LOL! The pellets are the litter, not the poop. Still bad enough. I shall miss that diner! It was just as you describe, complete with the biscuits and gravy. and YES! The old timers met there for coffee, friendship. oh yes.... the good ole days. I will miss it. And now I am nostalgic too. **Sniffle** THX, Seattle was nice. yes too on Lola. A shredder for sure. This afternoon she took to a shoe box I had. nothing is scared. TOO funny on Checkers. Another shredder! :-D  Si far Lola has left the TP alone. I suppose that it is only a matter of time.

Hi Carla - Yes agreed on both counts: sad on the diner, but a great time with DS. THX too on Seattle, it was fun tog et together. A nice trip into town too. I so agree on the kitties and that litter! it is everywhere. silly cats indeed. Sure hope I don't hvae to switch litter....

MAUI! GF! Yupp! tuna Tuesday! AND (!!!!) Lola and Bug say they have lots of tuna water. Tons in fact. hmmmmmmmmmm...... an inced tuna-cino. I can do that, no problem! Pizzas are all set, Lola and bug are ready to deliver. OH! No clue on the party..... uhhhhhh... you were wearing an outfit? I mean uniform? I mean outfit? what is up with that? heeheehee on the nekkid. hmmmmmm..... could be? BUT! I know for sure NO ONE made fun of you. no way, no how! I SWEAR! ~~ Elsa

Hi Ann - I so agree on the diner. It has been there for years! it will be a sad day when it closes its doors. And yes - that was biscuits and gravy on the plate. topped with a poached egg. THX on the hike and the pics. It too is a very nice place. It is one of those where you can hike for miles if one wants. THX on today - it was great.
Auntie Ann - Lola and Bug are very happy to fill your order. Pies are done and ready to go. They are one there way. Your neighbors are so cool. I will make them some too all the time now. I likes them. ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Hi Rhiannon - I agree on the small businesses. This place was a good one, place where old timers could gather, new timers too, linger over coffee or whatever. . I so hear on the rest: the big chain stores and their building, and the old stores they leave behind. Happens here too. LOL on the hallmark thing. :-D THX on today - it was a good one. oh yeah on the TP!

Hi Ella - THX on Seattle, it was fun. I so agree on the diner. Your place sounds like it was a good one too. Such a bummer when they close.... LOL on Lola, the shredding, and the pellets. I may have to change litter if they keep this up. Not a good thing.... I was going to do that with the TP, but.... and LOL: DH is so adamant about the TP being this way  ... so. He can pick up the shreds.  Sure would be nice for Lola, but I can so see her grabbing the edge and running with it.
Auntie Ella! THANKS YOU! I am so glad that I was able to help Rusty. He is such a good chef. Mannie is so very proud of him. Big and Lola were bust weren't they! It is good for them, keeps them out of trouble! Very cool on the espresso. It's my bean's fav too! ~~ Elsa, lil BIT, kitteh barista
