Zener is doing fine this morning, except for being in bounce mode. He was in the catnip this morning and growled and hissed at me when I gave him his shot, as he was nipping.. :lol: :lol: He did a big yard patrol. I think the adequan shot yesterday is helping. He's now on the bed (along with Tillie and sleeping Annebean). :-D

Buster seems to like the Adequan, too but it seemed to stop working after awhile? Per Wendy & Neko's suggestion, we have added Hyaflex (hyaluronic acid) into his arthritis med mix. So, he gets Adequan, Cosequin, Hyaflex and I have opted to try acupuncture for pain management for now. I hope you find something that works for Z - although he's evidently holding his own quite nicely! Now fight off those stinky pinky's and do the Zener sliiiide!

Zener, getting high on catnip should not include a high BG! Do the hokey pokey and turn yourself around and slide on down!!! :lol:

I'm glad the Adeqan seems to be helping. Sending healing vines for more relief, and a few sliding vines to get him out of those stinky pinkies.

What a beautiful catnip plant you have there! I could never get it to grow so well (of course having a bunch of neighbor cats running loose didn't help) so I finally gave up

Looks like Zener has it made!

OK now Zener...it's time to come down off those high floors and visit the lower ones...that's where all the action is!

Chris, thank you on the catnip plant but I can't claim much credit. A friend is going to move and offered it to us, so I transplanted it a few weeks ago. I watered it a few times and now it's doing great. :-D Doesn't hurt that the guy behind us waters his grass every other day. :lol: :lol:

What a great catnip plant. No wonder Zener didn't want to be bothered. I'm glad the adequan seems to be helping. I hope his head is healing nicely.

Although Zener's numbers are looking better, his mobility has gotten progressively worse throughout the day. Tonight he is unable to stand without help and unable to walk more than a few steps without help. His back legs have been the problem, but tonight, his front legs seem to be giving out too. He has managed to pee and poo with us standing by to hold him stable, but he is not happy about that. He seems very tired too, but not in pain. He has eaten okay, and is drinking. He even stood for a bit in his catnip patch for a good sniff. Liz and I are struggling to make a decision on what to do. We know he is very unhappy with this current state. I'll be on night duty to help him up to drink and to the litter box. Our vet, Captain Team Zener is out of town until Monday, and we have a standing appointment with her for anal gland expression, so we shall see what tomorrow brings.

So, please send those amazing LL vines our way. And keep our gentleman cat in your thoughts.

No Wendy, we have not done that in several months. It may be worth a call to the clinic tomorrow to see if we can get that checked out! Thanks for the suggestion.

Zener looks like he was doing a very close inspection of that catnip shrub. Holy Cow- it's so huge! My cats would have never have let the seeds even come up from the ground.

Maybe your body feel more comfortable very soon.

You are right about the kitten cams being addictive. I really can't start watching another. I've wasted too many hours watching the tiny dancers, and now they're going away! :sad: :roll: :lol:
 
I loved the video of Zener and the catnip. :-D Sending lots of vines and prayers for Zener to rally. Hope today will be a better one with the mobility. Hugs from us.
