Yesterday's condo

It's not even 9 am and I am ready to go back to bed. I got up at +9 to feed everyone their snack and I had barely managed to fall asleep again when Walter threw up his food. Right next to me, of course - since that is the only place where cats go when they get sick. No hairball, just undigested food. I am not sure what is going on, but I decided that this was not the day where I would attempt a dosecrease. So far, he has kept his breakfast down and I gave him his regular 2 units.

Shortly afterwards, I realized that my water heater isn't working. I wish I knew how it is possible that the water feels like it is barely above freezing when it's 90 degrees outside. Even Lake Michigan is warmer than the water that is coming out of my faucets. I would know, because I took an ice cold shower.

Now the big question is: do I wash my bedding in cold water? The plumber hasn't even returned my call, so I am not too hopeful that this will get fixed before Monday. :arghh: I guess I should be thankful that my AC is working - I would much rather take a cold shower than to not have air in this weather.

Oh no! What a morning!!! I hope Walter's tummy settles down!!!

I hate when appliances stop working! I hope the plumber calls you back very soon! I would just wash the bedding in cold water for now. That is at least better than nothing. Yes, be thankful for the AC. It is going to be stupid hot today and through the weekend.

I hope you day starts to get better! :bighug:

Sorry about the vomit. I hope Walter is feeling better and keeps his food down. Sorry about the water heater. I hope you can get it fixed soon. At least you have water. I would wash it anyway. At least it will be washed.

I just heard from the plumber and he will try and see if he can get a new heating element and install it later today. :woot:

Oh geez, not a good start to the day. I would've held the dose too with the vomits and hope Walter comes down today. In the summer here we don't have any cold water from the faucets. They don't find it necessary to bury the water lines anymore than a few feet which does nothing in this heat:rolleyes: Glad your plumber called and hopefully he'll be by to fix the element soon. Go easy today :bighug::bighug:

We have some blue! Right in time for me to leave for another New Student Orientation. Hopefully, everyone will figure out their schedule quickly and I should be back in about three hours.

Oh, what a terrible start to the day! Hope your heater gets fixed ASAP and glad that cold showers are in the summer and not in the winter.

Glad that Walter managed to keep his breakfast down. I hate unexplained pukes.

I don't think Walter is feeling too well. There was more puke when I came home from work - not entirely sure it was him, but that's probably the most likely explanation. He also sounds congested and is acting a bit punky.

His PMPS was 276, but since I'm not convinced that he will keep his dinner down, I stuck with the 2 units for one more cycle. I really hope that he's just having an off day and that he's not actually getting sick.
