It's another nailbiter this morning...I didn't inspect the boxes before DH scooped so I don't know if we had Trixie nuggets in there or not. But, Mr P kicked it into gear after breffis...these guys always have to keep me on the edge of my seat :roll: !

Boy did we have a hard time with the gelcap last night...she even started growling at me a bit. I felt so bad. I don't know why once in a while I have such a hard time when most of the time it goes down so easily. When I got home from work, she was so happy to see me, all sweet and snuggly and following me, had a good first round of dinner, then came the gelcap :sad: . It took a little while for her to feel comfortable with me after that. I don't blame her. At least it went down on the second try this morning.

Petey's appy is great; Zen is exercising his "summertime appy" rights this morning - although he did pick up the pace an hour or so after everyone else ate. It drives me crazy.

My Dad's CAT scan is this morning; after that, we'll have more info and a meeting with an oncologist and go from there. Please keep those prayers coming, and in return I'm sending them out for all of my LL family.

Thank you, Molly. I have seen how powerful LL prayers are in the past, and I have felt them all coming my way these past several days...I can't tell everyone how much that means to me.

Amy, my mindset is still stuck in 'numbers'. lol.......ya know, I see green and mentally dance for Miss Trixie. WooHoo.
I only had to gelcap Checks once, and I tried to do it with butter. OY, what a time I had. I admire how you manage this every day. :smile:

Your dad is still in my daily prayers. I so pray the scan will help the docs to form a good recovery plan.

I was just about to head down to exercise. Zen was all fired up and playing very happily...bring me toilet paper rings and such. He was so fired up that he started chasing his tail...and got his own claw caught in it. He was freaking out...in a cat fight with himself, complete with horrible sound effects. I had a hard time pinning him down to unhook it, but as soon as I did he calmed down.

OMG, these guys are trying to kill me. I'm out of time for working out before work...I need to be sure he and everyone else are calm after that.

I use butter with Trix's gelcaps, too, otherwise they stick to my fingers. Her fur was very buttery after last night's experience...poor girl!

Thank you for the prayers...as I said earlier, I feel the power...I really do.

Bummer on the gelcap. Been there too. It is frustrating when so many go down so easily and then there is that one time.... I am sure that Trixie will forgive you. I always feel/felt that they know we are trying to help them. Mannie would growl and hiss on occasion too.

oh no on Zen! I can so see that scene. Lola has done that from time to time. Such carrying-ons! Glad that all worked out.

Oodles of prayers have been sent for a good CT scan. Appy vines seem to be working so I'm sending more of those as well. And of course :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Nice work, Ms. P. :mrgreen: I must have a little PTSD from Zener's fight the other night, seeing your subject line was a bit stressful. I'm glad all is ok now and no vet visit required. Many, many vines for your dad and you and the rest of the family. LL is an amazing place in all ways.

Poor Zen - someone attacked his tail! That would make me mad, too. :lol: I have a friend whose cat routinely attacks her tail - she sees it twitching out of the corner of her eye and suddenly pounces on it. It's really funny, but kind of scary, as she is in total fight mode. I heard this is an actual condition!

Sorry about the gelcap fiasco. We have to put up with the occasional bad sessions, but hopefully most of them are successful and relatively painless.

Piling on some more vines for your dad. Buster isn't too hard to pill, but man, is that an exercise in patience! It's one of the reasons I'm trying acupuncture instead of pain meds twice a day. I'm sure Trixie understands. We all have our days. Keep up the good work and hang in there!
 
Sorry you had such a problem with the gel cap yesterday. I wish they could understand we're trying to help. Poor Zen. I hope he calmed down quickly.

My mom's dog likes to have dog fights with her tail....

I had to pill Skooter after a surgery and one time I couldn't figure out where the bugger was because I knew he hadn't swolled it....next day found it stuck in his fur...WHOOPS!

Hi Amy! I'm sorry I haven't been posting much, but I've been keeping caught up on my LL peeps. I'm glad that Trixie is trucking along working Mr. P :mrgreen: . I hope the gelcap will just "click" and go in the first try every time :cool: .

I'm so sorry to read of your dad and I am sending my thoughts and prayers your family and his way :YMHUG: . I hope you're having a calm and restful evening. Much hugs!
 
Adding belated vines for you dad's Cat scan, I hope you come up w/ a good plan of action.

Emma loves to chase her tail too. She'll get into a box and just spin around in it trying to get her tail! :roll:
