We're baaaack! We got home last night in time for Cinco's PM shot. Too late we realized we didn't tell the cat sitter to try to shoot early on Monday, as we have to leave for bowling before regular shot time. Since it was her day off from her regular job, she got up a little later than usual and shot 1/2 hour later than normal shot time (which is fine - we do it often). SInce Cinco has been in yellows and pinks while we were gone confused_cat , we made the decision to shoot early. Looks like it worked out okay. I am puzzled by his numbers while we were gone, and am wondering if it's because 1.25 is so hard to measure. I suspect our cat sitter was shooting a little less than we do. However, Cinco came to no harm - I'm much happier with his situation than if he'd been at the wretched vet we usually board with, so no harm, no foul. He seems to be picking up where we left off and a visit to the lagoon isn't out of the question! (anti-jinx)
I am waiting for a call from Dawn, the extraordinary RVT that is caring for Sasha. I will meet her at UCD when she goes to pick Sasha and her other current patient up, so I can pay her and collect Sasha and her belongings. I spoke to her Sunday and she said Sasha was eating well for her and even took her meds in a pill pocket!!
I told her Sasha has been known to do that on occasion, but to not expect it to work every time. I can't wait to get her back - I miss my little cuddle muffin so much!
I did absolutely nothing all weekend but sit and read newspapers and condos and play on the computer. I was not expected to help with any chores and was able to just relax. I got more sleep than the past week combined, so I'm feeling recharged and ready to deal with the disaster area that is my house. My dear cat sitter swept my floors for me, deadheaded my roses, and shredded the pile of papers I had sitting on my shredder awaiting my attention! She's a keeper.
I am going up to take a shower - had to do sponge baths at the in-laws' as they didn't have a hand-held sprayer, and showering for me is complicated right now. Can't wait to wash my hair!!
Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. Special prayers to Amy's dad, Lucy and Mariko, and Sienne, as well as anyone else that needs them :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:
