A lot of you already know that we lost our cat Abbey a few days ago... and I am heartbroken to say the least. I hadn't even finished mourning Doodle...
Abbey had kidney disease for several years and 2 weeks ago they found cancer in her urethra and two other fast growing tumors- that we never even had a chance to identify. Her little body just couldn't take any more and we helped her pass on Tuesday morning.
She was a wonderful friend... and I will miss her.

Angel, on the other hand, has been doing so well that I chose not to give her a shot Tuesday morning so that I wouldn't have to worry about her while we were driving Abbey to the bereavement center for her cremation. She hasn't had a shot since then -- and she seems to be doing great.
I would of course love to see her in the 60-70 range... but I'm a bit of a micro-manager I've been told... so I'm trying to keep my yap shut and let her do what she needs to do.
She is on day 4 now and I'm not sure how often I should test her - but I can't imagine I'm missing any big spikes.
I'll try to post daily from here on out so that she can have something resembling a proper countdown.
I know this is an odd post of both happy and sad news but I wanted to post the sad so that everyone would know what's been going on. That being said,I'd like to focus on the happy. Angel deserves that... and Abbey was ALL about living in the moment - so I can think of no better way to honor my beautiful girl.
