Re: 7/22/13: amps 207

Hi Janet,

Don't worry, we all have forgotten to give the shot on time.

One housekeeping note. Would you please add Izzy's name to your subject line in your first post of the day. It should look like this:

7/22 Izzy AMPS 207

Re: 7/22/13: Izzy amps 207

mdk = Vet bills all right lol started with her diagnosis with CRF. She spent 15 days at the Vet office. They finally sent her home and said....there was nothing more they really can do. All they were really doing was syringe feeding her and I could do that at home. So I did...and I figured out why she wouldn't eat...nausea...meds...and once we got that straigthened out she was ok...except for a while we were doing routine bloodwork every couple months.

I envision we will be there again, since she now has diabetes and it may effect her kidneys and the diet she needs for diabetes is not conducive to CRF.

And of course he last 5 days days at the Vet and all the costs associated with diabetes.

She is worth it of course. She also known as "princess" lol.

Re: 7/22/13: Izzy amps 207

There are low carb foods (for the diabetes) that are also low in phosphorus( for the CKD).

If I am reading the chart right, I want to be under 1.00 phosphorus DMA. Most of those Izzy will not eat. :( Basically she will eat FF and Sheba Pate and occassionally Friskies Pate. Once in a while Solistic or Weruva (same thing, same company). otherwise she boycotts food.

At her sickest with CRF she went from 13lbs down to 7 or 8. She is now at 11+/-.

Janet

Can you tell me what her renal numbers are including BUN, creat, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, HCT, HGB, please? I might be able to give you a little more help as I am now on my fourth cat with CKD and Gussie is starting his fourth year with it. I study about CKD ALOT.
