Good Morning LL! DH is again BIC for the shot as he watches the TDF ITT. We have marine layer again this morning, and should clear is a couple of hours. Last was a really ugly evening for Tess's BG. ohmygod_smile Thankfully, we are back to a yellow start. Shots seemed to be fine, so just a bad bounce, I guess.

WCR Only 4 Ps this morning, no LB deposit yet, but Clean Plate Club status when she finished at about +1. It usually takes a couple of trips to the feed dish for her first meal. She is now sleeping on mama beans lap.

Wow on last night. Mannie decided he needed to to the same, and continue it through the morning. What is up with these kitties!! :o :? It's good too see Tess yellow this AM, and headed down. Hmmmmmm - Mannie and Tess must be busy with the texts - they are about the same now. Those two! ;-)

Good job with the lap sleeping Tess. Could you maybe teach Mannie how it's done?

Thanks for visiting! I got home pretty late from the studio, just time for takeout BBQ and to collapse, @-) Tess's numbers were not a great welcome
home. We are wondering if the morning shot was a furshot. Looking at her SS she may be having an extra long carry over into the next cycle, so in effect the shots don't show up until an cycle later.

We changed Tess's food schedule this morning. Second breffis is now at +2 (which she wouldn't finish until +4 :roll: ) and 3rd was supposed to be at +5But we are delaying until +6 because she had just finished the 2nd breffis. We'll get her on the new schedule yet! In the evening we had already been breaking up the first dinner as she wasn't eating it all right away and we didn't want the raw sitting around.

Hi Helen, for the last 3 weeks DH has been doing the morning condo and shot. he's up to watch the Tour de France and I figured if he is up I don't need to be! But not it is nearly over and I'll have to start getting up again! :cry:

Michelle, back down into blue again already! ohmygod_smile I hope Mannie followed her, but I also hope we don't have a repeat of last night's bounce!

I finally picked up the WaveSense Presto that I've been wanting to try (Target rebrands it as the Up & Up) and I have an Arkray Vital for a backup that I haven't used much. I'm worried that our Maxima won't have strips available much longer. I order directly from the company and get a really good deal on a full case. Last time I ordered they had a hard time supplying a full case and part of it was back ordered. The Arkray Vital strips are even cheaper at ADW, but I'm not crazy about the way they fill. You have to hold it just right and get the blood on top of a really thick strip. The WaveSense are a little more, about $16, but still not too bad and I really like the way the meter works and some of the extra features like a backlight.

Poor Tess, I've been trying to get 3 tests from one drop, but usually have to poke again because of the difficulty filling the Arkray.
So far on 2 tests:

The WaveSense Presto has been right in between both of the other meters and it has gotten great reviews for accuracy, it has a new digital technology. I'll get a few more comparisons, for low and high numbers. I'm sure the little minx will supply them!

Oh my goodness, Ann, I see I have been replaced with the meters games! :lol: I just got myself straightened out, I think, by switching to the Relion Confirm. Now I see you with three meters. I'm looking for a good back-up human meter though. Your meters are all really close. I'll be interested in what you decide.
That's a nice blue for Tess.

. This morning for +2, I was using the Relion, when the battery died. I was out of Presto strips, and had to play switcheroo with the battery from another Relion. I could have just used the second one, but needed to put good battery in first, in order to check amps was correct......Oy!
Good thing I just made a WalMart run two days ago.
Now I'm off to Amazon to order Presto strips. That place has different prices every day, even the vendors' prices aren't the same every day.

I gave her a little more food at the +8.5 test which she wouldn't eat, got enough sprinkles on it now that she is eating it.

barb, I'd forgotten that you use the WaveSense. Let me know if you find a really good deal! :lol: :lol:

AH meter roulette! Well, will be interested in what you go with, should you switch, being a fellow maxima user and all. I've still been ordering the strips from ADW, with no indication from them there there is a supply problem. Since you however deal with the manufacturer, I too wonder...

And I hear you on the bounce thing - sure don''t want that either. he's a tough one to figure out: popped up to a high yellow @ +8, back to a high blue at pmps. weird. I can hardly wait for his +2. :?

I just ordered Presto Wavesense from Amazon for $31.33 for 100 strips....free shipping.
That's cheaper than WalMart at 36 for 100. The only good thing about Wal. is I can drive there if I run out of strips.

I have no trouble shooting this number because the Lev onset is so delayed, but this is the third under 50 in 8 day and it's probably time to try a decrease. Trying to decide if we should try a decrease tonight or wait for the inevitable bounce. nailbite_smile ……….

OK, I gave her the reduction, we can always take it back up. Hopefully this will halt the really late nadir and the bouncing lately. PAWS CROSSED!

Good luck on the reduction. I think it was a good choice. I think I got Gracie a little overdosed because I didn't take as much reduction as I should have and it caused her to start bouncing again and giving me less than stellar numbers. Ick. But that is just an hypothesis.

Thanks for the photos on the MJs. I've had so many MJ syringes like that...it isn't funny. BUT...the Terumos can also be off. But when I measured the doses using the micropipettor that MJ sent me, the Terumos were more accurate than the MJs. Still...I'm not giving up my calipers. I've never been consistent on the drops. I really do like the Terumos better.....they glide better, the needle is just a tiny bit longer but doesn't seem to bother Gracie, and there is no hub which is a huge seller for me. You have to draw super slow to keep from getting bubbles but I haven't used a syringe yet that didn't get a few, tiny bubbles on the top of the plunger...however, with these, if I draw slowly enough, I can do it.

Great info on the meters!!

Hi Ann, Good luck with the reduction and with the meters! I'm sticking with my Relion/Arkray mini meters and strips.

That was quite a time trial today at the Tour! Wow!
