7/21 Shooter AMPS 426, PMPS 126, +4 46, +4.5 87

He is a man with a plan (to zip down the dosing ladder!). Good luck and I hope he holds the reduction! :)

Yikes! So this is a first for me/us. Typically when I shoot a somewhat lower number Shooter continues to go up. I'm pretty sure this is our first low +4 number. I just gave him 2 TB of 20% because I don't know that 1 tsp (normal amount) would be enough.

Maybe 1 TB would have been enough after all. At +4.5 he's at 87. Since I have no idea what he's going to do next. Maybe I can sleep for one hour then recheck or should I continue checking every half hour?

Hi Heather, just getting online!

Btw, did he get food between PMPS and +4?

Hi Bhooma, he had 2/3 can LC at PMPS then nothing until +4 which is pretty typical. He usually gets his shot and fed at 6:30/6:45pm then another 2/3 can LC right before I go to bed at 10:30/10:45. This is the first time he's ever dropped right away. Being on Levemir he almost always drops between +7 - +9. Maybe he was still dropping from his AM shot?? He sure seems to be going up now. He's 155 @ +6. Going back to bed. Will probably do one more check around +9 to be safe.

Maybe he was still dropping from his AM shot??
He was breaking a bounce. The red AMPS was probably the high before the bounce breaks and he was going lower through the AM cycle till PMPS. In bounce breaking cycles there is more downward momentum. He may have continued to head lower from PMPS and the onset of insulin added to that momentum!

Sometimes it's so hard to know what to do. :( It seems like he keeps changing his mind. lol

Thank you all so much for your support last night. I'm thankful that I was able to get some sleep (kinda, I kept dreaming about missing the alarm). It seems Shooter is very carb sensitive because in the past he's pulled out of limes easily with 1 or 2 tsp of MC. Last night I went overboard giving him 2 TB but it was so early in the cycle. I wish his bounce numbers weren't SO high.
