Good Evening, Everyone,

HOT HOT HOT. Very Windy. HUMID. We are wiped out!! Rusty, too. He was spaced out on the front porch (where it was hotter than in the rest of the house) when I got back for PMPS. But he had eaten all of his food in his automat and ate some of his dinner, even though it is beastly hot. We, of course, don't have a/c (normally we don't need it up here in the mountains), but all the fans are working overtime.

It was so windy today (40-50 mph gusts) that we are thankful we stayed off the lakes. It could have been catastrophic. We had a nice, leisurely paddle on the outlet of a small pond and turned around and went back when we reached the large lake at the other end (which looked like the ocean!!). Everyone on the paddle had a good time. I'm suffering from a migraine, even though I drank plenty of water: it is brought on by the change to hot, humid weather. So I'm going to veg out now and watch the Tour and finish watering the houseplants (which are keeling over from the heat). Back later (maybe)!

We hope you all stayed cool today. Rusty says hi to all his pals.

Rusty! Thanks for all the help baking layers for the stacked cake! That was a lot of work, and HOT! But we got so many layers made! I hope we got everything all cleaned up! -- Tess

Glad you had a nice time today and sounds painful with the migraine. Hope you can get some rest tonight. Tell Rusty not to get too comfy there, as we have BigMac's OTJ party soon!
 
Thanks, guys, Rusty is on his way to Big Mac's party. I didn't know he helped Tess bake layers for the cake today. No wonder he's feeling the heat!! (Actually, he's good; he had a good combing by Edward tonight).

So sorry on the migraine Ella! My husband gets those and they are horrible. Try and get some rest and take care of yourself. Rusty is looking good today. He must know you don't feel so good or just tired from all of the baking. I heard it is some cake they made! Have a restful evening!
 
WOW, and what a day for you! Sorry for the hot and the winds, but it sounds like you had great time!

Did you watch the tour?!?!? What a great stage! omg - love that race...
