Thank you and yes, we lost the yellow and the PD/PU too. My girl is doing well. She is more active and alert and seems to be feeling good. Her favorite feeding is 6 PM when I give her what we lovingly refer to as her snack tray. She gets 1oz of carb free FF appetizer, all chicken, and 1 oz of her favorite Pro Plan, only 2 % carb chicken and liver. It must be quite tasty because she gets so excited when the food comes out. My favorite part is that it is 1% carb when combined and only 30% fat when combined. Ah, the things that make us all happy. I love seeing Morgaine all perky and pretty again.Sandy and Black Kitty said:

I noticed on her ss you noted she has lost a few oz. Being more active will most likely help her along in that effort! It looks like she's gaining a bit of momentum on both the BG front and the weight reduction front!skybar22 said:

When we started insulin we also started a lower fat diet so that her triglycerides could come down. Also, she is a couple of pounds overweight and that may have contributed to the insulin resistance as she was diet controlled for a year. So I am thrilled that she is losing the weight, slowly. She really doesn't have a long way to go to get to an ideal weight. Morgaine had weighed 20 pounds in 2006 and I managed to get 5 pounds off of her with that horrible Hill's prescription R/D. That is when she was dx'd with FD. I think I let her eat a bit too much of that low carb, higher fat food and she now she seems to be getting what she really needs, a little insulin and a lower fat diet.
As for activities, Morgaine is a lazy girl and pretty much has been for years. She is funny as she has all sorts of toys but tends to prefer to exercise her neck muscles while I work the feathers on the stick. She does have a condo that forces her to jump high to get to her favorite perch. She used to be a lot more active but as she got older, and heavier, she really slowed down. I would love to get her running around again but she is not interested in those toys. i am going to grow some cat nip and see if she will be interested in that. She likes to relax, eat and relax and eat. :smile:
