the wrap on jupes foot is sliding down. I think if it falls down anymore that area will be exposed. The vet wanted it to be kept wrapped because there is a gap there. she said she couldnt stretch the skin far enough to stitch it closed the whole way so it needs to be wrapped
called the vet and they had the on call vet call me back. he said to try putting some self adhesive tape on it and just to keep it on tonight and then call the vet first thing in the morning. he said if jupes vet wont see him, they will squeeze him in. (too bad its an hour drive away! - but if Jupiters vet cant squeeze him in tomorrow we will take him to the other place because I worry about it getting infected)
we went and bought some "tender tape" sticks to itself not to skin or hair. we wrapped that around the old wrap and wrapped it higher so that even if the old wrap keeps sliding down atleast where he had the bump removed will not be exposed.
we are going to call first thing in the morning and hoping his vet will see him.
On a positive note: Jupiter is eating some (maybe not as much as he should be but eating a decent amount) and he has been out and about all day with no hiding.
